I'll start with some pictures of some recent work i've done to my home:

New light and home number:

Had to buy a hammer drill but it made the drilling a dream.

Had a random issue with my shower valve faceplate popping off:

No idea why it popped off, but after scraping the old silicone off, cleaning the area with Goo Gone, it was ready for the new stuff. Used GE's Supreme Silicone and looks good

I installed a toilet recently. And a faucet. And a washing machine and an oven.

Just got my roof redecked and re shingled. 20 grand!!!

I saw that post when it was made and wondered if they were a bot. Seemed weird to bump the thread with something as generic as that.

Sucks to hear the roof cost that much. But at least it's one less thing to worry about going forward.

Thankfully insurance covered it because of a hailstorm. Only had to pay the $1000 deductible.

Replacing my hvac unit out of pocket hurt though. That was 10 grand. No bueno.

Installed some Poe cams outside and ran the wire. Installed new network setup so everything is stored locally instead of paying nest or ring

did new network setup as mentioned above. Goal was to have POE cameras that recorded locally but i went overboard and switched my nas over too.
