It's going to be an underrated release. Probably in my top 10. I really need to make an outline for that list. I just keep adding things to my "top".

I seriously cannot stand E-40. Ugh.
Pun intended?

nah man, i like to think GAF-hop is an open-minded environment, and really, des and others (i wanna say) have said forever that people too often go with "safe" lists, when really it's totally subjective and

Dr. Octagon is awesome. Dr. Octagonecologyst is a hilarious album. I'm so glad I listened to this.

Kool Keith has a very creative style. Odd Future doesn't have shit on this guy.

And of course Dan tha automator is an awesome producer as always.

Despite the hate it gets, WTT is one of my favorite 2011 releases. The beats are nice, Jay and Kanye are for the most part serviceable, but most of all it's fun.

“Me and Wayne scrapped the idea of a collaboration album,” Drake exclusively told XXL. “We just agreed that it would be looked upon as…It would be sort of this competition [with Watch The Throne]. I feel like it would get caught in this whirlwind of hype. [Wayne] agreed. We just said, ‘If we do it, we’ll do it down the line. But right now is not the time.’”

Wow that is pathetic, two juggernauts in their own right getting scared off by WTT.

A Drake X Wayne album would definitely be a 2xplatinium record.

Album seriously deserves all of the praise it gets.

Yeezy saved us from a shitty collab album. (make a joke, I dare you).

YOLO > Wayne/Drake

Honestly I think Drake is separating himself from Young Money, not that he's afraid of WTT. Drake just doesn't strike me as someone who fits with the Young Money mentality. I can't see him hanging with Wayne or Birdman, they're just different people from different life styles.

I don't really see how you figure that.. He had to ask Weezy what to do. I don't he will be YM forever, but it wouldn't surprise me also..he is getting treated well I don't see if having leave...

are any of the producers on asap rocky's tape exclusive to that crew right now or have they, particularly clams casino, produced for other dudes

because....wasted talent right there. ASAP rocky tape has me feeling swagged the fuck out but that's 99 percent production other percent is the rappers. They're all...serviceable but that's about it, really generic emcees. Schoolboy Q really took them to college.

Ricky Rosay would murk that shit.

I haven't checked out Maybach Music. What are your opinions on it?

Note- I thought Deflon Don was pretty good, got bored towards the end but overall better than I expected.

He's definitely making bank, more than Wayne. But dude could make more money with his own XO distribution label, ala Ross

No way he is making more than Wayne... even after Birdman's cut

Carter III went triple plat in the US and IV is already plat..

Ross is pretty tight.. limited in what he can rap about but what he can rap about he does it super clean

The label? Wale's Ambition is pretty decent but I don't think he fits in, his stuff pre MMG was better (on mixtape).

God Forgives, I Don't is bound to be fun as hell.

WTT doesn't get enough criticism...Stop misusing the word hate anyway.

offline? agreed. on GAF-hope? nah, it does catch some hate, usually when people talk about how salty they're gonna be to see it high up on the AOTY polls, voted on mostly by people who know that one and like 2 other albums. what'd you not dig about it again though? i thought it was certainly better than years worth of Jay's efforts, though that's not a high bar for me these days.

nothin' but love was my jam, shit was my dating anthem for years now, prolly still is.
im assuming heart trouble, but what was it that did him in? i was pretty surprised to learn he was as young as he was, too.

Doom x Ghost will still be the best supercollab we've ever heard boys and girls

+1, even if it's on an imaginary shelf in my mind right next to Dre & Cube's Heltah Skeltah.

yeah, see - i thought it was in the last thread, but doesnt Drake have one of the best record deals in the business? no way id walk away from that to do m-m-m-maybach music, but i did assume he was taking home more than birdman let wayne hold.

Yeah, if it ever really happens. I'm not talking about half-assed DOOMSTARKS or DILLAGHOSTDOOM either.
