No one talking about this?
Where have I heard this beat? Was it a Nas track?

Song is boring as heck, btw.

so pretty much everyone agrees that 00s Mobb Deep is kinda shitty?

i thought so until i heard this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8J4Ke4U2Sk

it's from some Best Of compilation so i hadn't heard it before, but goddamn what a fantastic dark gloomy track. i want more stuff like this now.
'00 Mobb was disappointing, but they had no hope of equaling the magic of the Hell On Earth album. Even Murda Muzik fell short, though it was great in its own right.

Sweet, love the nappy roots. Heard their last album was pretty bad though.

All I know is Attention Deficit was pure crap, while Man on the Moon was a great top 10 album of 09 for me.

it was exact opposite for me, couldnt get through the whole Cudi album first listen.

And what has this to do with Cudi?

:lol :lol Well, Cudi and Lupe are supposedly real cool so I guess that's it.

And where is Act II, Jay Elect? You said it'd come out on your birthday -- and today is your birthday. I'll wait it out but I'm not keeping my hopes up whether he releases it.

NPR: Fat Beats: The End Of A Hip-Hop Era

September 19, 2010

Fat Beats, a world-renowned hip-hop record shop specializing in vinyl releases, will shut its last retail outlet on Sunday. The closing of the Los Angeles store follows the closing of a New York location earlier this month, and some are calling it the end of an era.

I've been playing Lupe's Go to Sleep in a loop and I'm sick and tired of waiting for his album to come out. Just fucking release it already. :(

I've been staying away from Lupe's shit honestly. It gets my hopes up for new material, but alas that won't happen anytime soon it seems.

Hey Jay Elect? No Act II tonight? I guess we're not going to have it on your birthday like you wanted to. Maybe when Lupe's album gets out. Or when Detox gets out.

Great track. He has an effortless delivery. Doesn't yell, nothing. Just relies on his lyricism -- I like that.

Need to check who's on it first, do you have a final feature/tracklist?

Man, Funcrusher Plus is still such a fun album.

I seem to return it to my heavy rotation every other month.

Yes! Finally! Someone that shares my CoFlo love! Top 5 best albums of all time, hip-hop or otherwise, imo.

Though I wouldn't call it "fun". Its a pretty dark album.
