gone head and right click, save as, for future use
I foresee a MJ face being on this young man in the near future.

This new Method Man is real nice.

Dropping like flies out here
preemptive RIP Cheaddahz
This new Method Man is real nice.
Yep, everything is good except for Keith.this L'Orange & Kool Keith album
Heard the name L'Orange after going through some MMG releases months ago but never really peeped his work and downloaded this just off the strength of Kool Keith fuckery (who sounds like he's finally burned himself out sadly)
These beats got me over here like
The production sounds like an even trippier Madlib fused with some Doom...I see I've got some work to do.

you sure do
kind of a shame about that album with Keith Kool tho. love L'Orange but I couldn't even make it through that project.
That would be amazing. Their collabs have been all fire and Blu always sounds good over jazzy beats.Give me a Noir Film-esque collab with Blu and L'Orange.
Then Blu can fuck off.
If one of you motherfuckers actually buys the Travis $cott figure I will actually stop posting in GAF-Hop threads.
Yeah not even close to his best work yet, enjoy.this L'Orange & Kool Keith album

As I begin the retread down the Boot Camp Clik's sophomore slump, I'm gonna start withSmif-N-Wessun'sCocoa Brovaz' Rude Awakening
Gonna go head and get it out of the way, it's still a definite step down from Dah Shinin' but it's really not all that bad. Tek and Steele still do their thing on the mic, so it really boils down to the production on here. There are some definite stand outs like Still Standin Strong, Spanish Harlem (both which I swear predate everything else on here), and Blown Away, but there's a lot of middling and somewhat questionable beats. Won on Won in particular samples Deodato's September 13th rather poorly after Camp Lo's Park Joint. Black Trump with Raekwon isn't terrible but this track could've been so much better considering the lineup, and speaking of the Wu, both Dry Snitch and Game of Life both contain what I swear to be diet-1998 RZA keys. Doesn't help that they're back to back either. And if I can strap on my backpack for a bit, it's more than a little bit of what Heltah Skeltah would coin "punk-smooth bullshit" on here with the crooning hooks (Therapy notwithstanding). They're not bad but considering the standard BCC has set with previous albums, they definitely stand out. Some west coast influence too, specifically in Black Trump's beat and Blown Away's hook, the latter of which comes straight from Ambitionz Az a Ridah. No surprise though as BCC was supposed to drop an album with Tupac before his death and OGC/Heltah Skeltah were already throwing shots at Biggie in videos during their beef.
All in all though, this record isn't bad. Again, it's not Dah Shinin, it's not perfect, but not as bad as people made it out to be. 7/10.
Next up will be Heltah Skeltah's Magnum Force with a box of kleenex.
Weeknd drip
:O
Best song on there is Bucktown USA.
Lol the author of this barely did any research on dudes come up, and now they're trying to paint him as an industry plant? Lmao so much is wrong in this article. They called the dude smart to boot. Shout outs to ignoring the complete production side of things, including being a muse for Ye in the Yeezus era which basically built off of dudes production style. I completely agree with the hip-hop community being really selective when it comes to giving passes for similar come ups but Travi$ hasnt even made it yet, and the author is completely blind to the fact that his resume is more known for being a songwriter and producer first.Lol, just stumbled upon this:
Travis Scott Is Worse Than Iggy Azalea
Looking forward to Rodeo. Days Before Rodeo was my AOTY next to Black Messiah.
STRAIGHT UP
Bumping some Charles Hamilton got me reminiscing on the days of him being on the radar.

Some of my favorite Charles tracks from the back:
Deja Vu
Press C
Cats Said I Can Diss You
Re-Anna
The Entirety of Pink Lavalamp
...The reason he fell off is because he fell into drugs really bad, which mixed with his psychological issues sent him into the deep end.
Crazy. Cat's probably a savant. The way his brain must work to be string together all these words so fast, man... Seen a few others from him that were impressive, too.
Jesus, how time flies. I was 16 when he was coming up with his Sonic-themed mixtapes, lol.

King Los was ridiculous too on Sway, though:
