Vince's album is 59 minutes long.
People just seem to weirdly get overwhelmed by 2-discs(!) when in reality it's standard length. It's way shorter than Kendrick's last two albums for example.
You could cut tracks from most albums, it's a meaningless critique when it comes to Summertime '06.

To be fair that Astro song is weak as fuck. The beat is nice, verses seem fine for radio...but the hook is laughably bad. It's not really even a hook. It's amazing how out of touch these dudes are with melody. Might need to just go back to the rap n bullshit days of having r&b chicks do all the hooks for NY artists.

They're the ones who came out of nowhere and put up the 100k+ for Cassidy to come back to battle rap and then just decided they didn't want to pay everyone else on the card on the day-of so they didn't and the promoter got put like 100k in the hole. Also apparently the employees are super racist.

Eh, I think GAF-Hop is a bit over-exaggerating with the Rock hate. Before he was experimenting many here said he was boring, now he's at least trying to do something different. Stepping out of your comfort zone the first time musically will obviously sound awkward most of the time. Remember Kendrick doing his voices for the first time?

Rock isn't gonna drop a classic, I don't think anybody expected that.
There hopefully will be some more solid songs (Besides Gumbo and Money Trees) than these last two that sounded pretty bad.
I don't really want to defend it, or say it's garbage. Hopefully we'll get an album that's just an enjoyable listen.
