Holy shit. I just checked Billboard 200 and Straight Outta Compton is number 4. Compton's number 3 dropped down one spot from last week but I wonder if the sales will increase with the physical copy. Also I would like to see a single from the album myself

anybody here seen Dope? it was aiight, a fun little high school movie with a black kid and hip hop culture instead of the usual white ones we've all seen. it drags a bit though and has some really corny stuff...

such as how you're somehow supposed to buy the likes of Asap Rocky, Tyga (fuckin Tyga) and Kap G (...) as tough thugs.

Yeah I really enjoyed it even though some of the stuff near the end had me scratching my head.
the whole selling drugs part on the black market just fit in so weird with the story they were telling in the first half

It was good. Kind of unmemorable.

Man, I tried and can't lie to myself anymore: this Weeknd album is not good. Always told myself 'but it's still a good pop album tho' but then I realized that 'good pop' is music that works regardless of its genre for anyone. The productions are boring; the sexual/drugshit that was something new during Trilogy era sounds so cringey right now. Just.. eh.

This dude has become a complete sellout and while I wish him the best luck and am grateful for those first three tapes, it's very disappointing to see him going down this lane. He wants to be the most famous no matter what, and man it shows.

I still enjoy Tell Your Friends and Can't Feel My Face, but other than that this album left me incredibly unaffected.

As you are is good too but yeah album is a mostly forgettable disappointment, liked kissland much more tbh

And the black ops 3 beta is fun as fuck forreal. Loving the sparrow and the war machine chick

I tried warn y'all about the Weeknd, I still like The Hills though.

Oh my God the Quentin Miller would have been so fire if he had given those verses to Drizzy and axed the auto tune.

I've sanded Weeknd's album down to The HIlls, Can't Feel My Face, In The Night, and As You Are. The rest can go in the bushes.

Why am I liking "Kings" off this Lupe mixtape?

I'll never forget when Lord Willin' came out. That shit was like an early pioneer of gangsta pop music for the aughts. About half a year before Get Rich Or Die Trying.

Pusha T is a good rapper but he's one of the most laughably overrated rappers in recent memory. You would think he's the second coming of Raekwon based on the way stans praise his prowess. Dude sounds like a chemistry major pretending to be Tony Montana. Shit is wack.

And fuck Pharrell too. Dude's beats are like audio ambien. There's no life or energy in that shit. Seriously listen to this and tell me it's not like some Bossa nova Bubsy 3D music. Seriously I'm telling you Pharrell was one day playing videogames in his suburban home when he heard this and said "you know what, if I add some drums to this it's gonna be shway."

That's rich coming from a Ghostface stan.

The druggy/sex shit is not even clever on the new album. It's like blunt and to the point, compared Trilogy where the theme had some sort of class to it. Seriously, if you write Trey Songz name over the album, it would sum it up in a nutshell. I'm all for ignorant sexual songs, but leave that shit to The Dream.

Dang I wish The Dream didn't retire from music.

Haven't even heard it yet, or said shit about the tape specifically, and you're already biting at the teeth to defend. Lupe fan insecurities.

You know I'm gonna be honest, I just got finished listening to it once over and I feel as though I need to come back to it and listen again when I'm really in the mood and maybe I can lower expectations a bit...Because it's not working for me at all, and all of the things that irk me about Lupe seem ever present.
