honestly biggest gripe with rodeo is all the beat changes. Not a fan of that wave. Once or twice an album can be great, interesting and effective at creating mood. When every other track has a beat change or two you're trying way too hard to be different.

whew really liking the album, he's 3/3 now. production on point, as expected, even though there are less bangers. travis noticeably got better lyrically (still lots of room for improvement tho) as well, which was a surprise. digging all the features as well, that bieber feature came out of nowhere

. piss on your grave is a weird one. the beat is great (thanks to mike dean) but ye is pretty weak on it, and like rasta said, it should've been longer/sounds like it was getting started near the end.
i honestly like all the tracks except for antidote and maybe 90210. didn't like antidote when i first heard it and i still don't like it now and 90210 is just messy. i'm hoping that quintana pt. 3 is one of the bonus tracks.

right now my rankings would be
Days Before Rodeo > Rodeo > Owl Pharaoh

the beat switch on 90210 just didn't make sense at all

So La Flame really does do very little production. When I first heard of this dude, it was because of people hyping him up as a beatmaker. Kinda disappointing.

Yeah he just guides the production. Does some additional production but as far as I know, he doesn't really make the beats most of the time

I definitely thought Rodeo would have way more club bangers in it (in before muddy BangerBroz lol)

album is aiight. he straight up sounds like a 808s ye clone in 90210, I thought that was pretty cool. Nothing really of substance in this album but best believe Night Call and 3500 will stay on a playlist for a long time. They have that bombastic production that I check Scott for. He goes really anthemic on both tracks.

Dirty Sprite 2 still album of the year. Don't be alarmed guys, we're still on this lean-wave. Business as usual.

Speaking of soundalikes Swae Lee sounds a lot like Bieber on Night Call. Travis Scott's verse on that really turned the track up big time though, SINCE LAAAAAAAAAA IVE BEEN PUTTIN ON

I can't see Rodeo getting much play at clubs or parties. I mean, the lyrics you'd expect are there and the songs have a lot of low-end, but very few of them have a steady feel from front to back. It's turn up music that's made to be listened to alone with headphones on.

Having seen Travis Scott at a festival this year, I disagree. It was pretty wild.

Anyways, the album is cool, but it's kind of sad that so many tracks leaked before release (3500, Antidote, Drunk), dare I say the best ones...
I can't tell and Apple Pie are my favorite ones after those.

Now let's wait for Frank Ocean's release

Thing is at parties/clubs people don't know the songs like at festivals/shows, so all the transitions and weird little kinks in the production won't go down well at all.

nice...feels like wastin these beats on wiz though

DS2 is not even close to AOTY. Tetsuo & Youth is a better album lets be real.

what if they're both forgettable tho

50 Cent diss? Ricky gonna show Meek how it's done.

damn, does seem in that vein but wouldn't it be kinda late/outta nowhere at this point?

Is iLoveMakonnen still relevant?

he don't have to be relevant or not to be a throwaway artist

Tetsuo & Youth honestly is pretty strong. Mural, Prisoner, Deliver are great. Not that I don't enjoy DS2, but there's so little to keep one's interest. It feels like once you've listened to it a couple of times you get it and that's it.
