DS2 that powerful.

Also I hated 2014.

I don't even remember anything besides Days Before Rodeo, Black Messiah and Green Language (EDIT: Oh, forgot Because The Internet and Nothing Was The Same). The rest was loosies and the same LuckyMe x Rinse FM and Radio 1 Soundcloud mixes which already made up 90% of 2013 and 2012. Some of my faves:

Rustie — Essential Mix — BBC Radio 1 — 7th April 2012 (This one started my love for these mixes, had it on heavy rotation at every college chill sesh):

LUNICE 1XTRA MIX:

Lunice Ray-Ban X Boiler Room Live Set:

OBEY CITY 1XTRA MIX:

Disclosure Radio One Essential Mix (10-Aug-2013):

DS2 praise has to be some type of gaf meme at this point.

shit is trash.

That's pretty much what I figured but i haven't listened to it nor will I. Was never really into him at all. Of couse I never really cared much for the newer rappers outside of Kendrick and J. Cole

speaking of Cole I heard Wet Dreamz on the radio and was stunned at the editing. The words condom, erection, hard, stroke, etc were edited out. One of the most heavily edited songs I've heard on the radio recently.

Part of me understands where he's coming from if it really wasn't authorized...but he's been such a fuckboy lately, I really don't care.

Fuck this nigga. You had one great album, that's it.

...what is the correct amount of albums one is allowed to like for them to be able to consider it a quality year? In 2014, I could barely come up with 8 albums I loved from all genres. In 2015, with 4 months to go, I have that number just in rap. It's been a good year so far.
Dude must've forgotten his soundcloud password and can't recover it. Pay him no mind

...I'll be the best first to admit this ain't for everyone, but if you can stand some poppiness in your rap I think you'll find this to be extremely catchy. Gonna be playing this all day.

DS2 is legit. Surprised some think it isn't. Not that it's for everyone or is the best album ever, but it's good.

Listening to some Dam-Funk. I can't believe I slept on dude for so long. Goddamn this shit is amazing.
Missed this. I like the new DF a lot. So many great grooves as well as some neat guest spots.

I mean, Dante Terrell Smith can tell us he's Yasin Bey all he wants. You get one fucking nickname. Once it sticks, that's it. You can't just start calling yourself Ace when its been Man Tits all the time.

Except in this case, everybody knows him as Ace and he's trying to convince everybody his name is now Man Titty, Esq.

Kendrick Lamar TPAB
Future DS2
Drake IYRTITL
Earl Sweatshirt IDLSIDGOS
Curren$y Pilot Talk 3
Vince Staples Summer 06
Dr Dre Compton
Future Beast Mode
Travis Scott Rodeo
The Internet Ego Death
Future 56 Nights
Lupe Fiasco Pharoah Heights
Snoop Dogg Bush

Projects I think fucked with this year not going to make a official list until this year is finished but yeah this year shits on 2014 and it's not even close.

I think the mainstream retail projects have been better as a whole, but 2014 had so many sleeper tapes that will never get the proper praise they deserve.

The only thing I remember about 2014 is TDE putting out their best effort, RTJ, and You're Dead. Everything else is shovelware with a few slept on gems that I have forgotten.

I'd agree with that I enjoyed a lot of the stuff you had in your rap-ups Goldlink, 100s, Isiash Rashad Alex Wiley are projects I still go back to.

2014 was great. Pinata, Banco, Cilvia Demo, So It Goes, The Water, God Complex, Ivry, etc.

Honestly, with the massive amount of music that comes out these days pretty much every year is good to some degree imo.

I wasn't checking for Future at all and I like DS2, it's a 'good' album at the very least.

But what about 2 Chainzzzzzzzzzzz...?

Thanks for this post. Always good to know these things for future reference.

I said TDE best efforts lol.

Blackmilk was straight and Gibbs was cool. I only bumped Pinata' a few times, so it really wasn't on the radar since I was eating off of Oxymoron.

Which was AOTY

For me it wasn' that we didn't get good stuff last year - there was a bunch of good records. I just feel like we didn't get any blockbusters. The big stuff either didnt hit or disappointed.

2015 has delivered in that respect
