Gibbs is cool with me, but I prefer Rock. I'm just saying.

It's no different from folks enjoying Forza while some love Gran Turismo. Yet it's all opinion and folks shouldn't be taking the shit to the heart. I revisit the damn album and express the fact that it was a pretty good album.I'm not going to discredit both artists because at the end of the day, it's all hip hop. I don't understand why opinions get dismissed on the level of pitchforks and flamethrowers. I said my piece on the subject and I will continue to contribute to this thread with my taste in music and hoping others will at least enjoy it, as much as I enjoy what's contributed to the thread.

Yea I also like Gibbs, it's just that I prefer Jay Rock.

what's wrong with it. Did they ass creed it?

It's basically open world Peace Walker with way, way, way better mechanics.

So kinda. Though nobody will ever admit that. But I've only played ~10 hours so I don't wanna spew nonsense. JC could speak on it a lot more, and there are lots of long impressions in the MGSV |OT|.

Jay Rock is more like GRID 2, but yeah sure.

It's okay that you enjoy his music more than Gibbs, just know that you'll have to do that from a defensive position. Every time. Forever and ever, amen.

Hahahaha.

Nothing is taken personal. People defending their thoughts. I think it's fine that people bring controversial opinions so it's all welcome.

Except for Syphon. That dude can peace out.

I'm pretty sure Syphon and R2D2 haven't heard older Gibbs gems like Str8 Killa No Filla, BFK, and the Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs so they probably have assumed that he's always a a reserved and calculated as he is on Pinata when in fact the guy has nailed a variety of styles from ignorant trap hijinks to conscious Tupacisms and everything in between.

Yeah the types of people that take a song like Thuggin at face value and have zero idea how self aware the lyrics of that song are. I tried to get my dude into Gibbs but made the mistake of playing nothing but Pinata tracks for him and he thinks Gibbs is aint nothin special.

the main mission gameplay is fun. traversal is garbage, voice acting is crap too and who got time to listen to these monotonous tape conversations.

still i really love it when you actually get to a well-designed base for a main mission level. It's the best an MGS game has ever played when you get to those main missions. so all in all I'm having a lot of fun still but coming off of god-tier open world like Witcher 3 this aint nearly as hot.

it seems like it's the year of the open world. i've played and enjoyed witcher 3 and arkham knight. now I'm on MGS (it has it's problems but it's also really fun at what it excels at) and soon will be on to Mad Max.

kiefer sutherland > david hayter post mgs2
troy baker is a great ocelot too

Idk where this voicing acting is crap shit is coming from when A) There is considerable less talking MGS wise than...ever and B) Everyone's doing a solid job

i dunno dude. keifer literally sounds like he's sleeptalking in this. and ocelot and kaz sound the same to me. sometimes i can't tell who's on the radio because of it.

i was all for a different voice for big boss to distinguish him from solid snake but kiefer barely trying here. we'll see later on in the game tho. to be fair all i've heard from him has been those boring tape convos. ocelot's the real problem though, troy baker went really generic with this. kiefer at least has such a distinguishable voice that i know snake is talking.

I don't think Baker as Ocelot is bad, but he's pretty boring compared to Patric Zimmerman. He really helped turn Ocelot into a great character.

Of course that's not all Baker's fault. Part of it is the writing and just the structure of MGS V. In earlier games Ocelot was always an important character and was pretty much always up to something. So far in Phantom Pain he just hangs out at Mother Base watching my dog or calmly tells Snake how to do shit with the iDroid.

dd is a cute doggy, i wonder how long it takes for him to grow and come out on missions though.

jury's out on the story until i go way further, i'm still in afghanistan on mission 7 now.

It's modern metal gear it's gonna be garbage. MG always been silly but at some point during/after ppl gased Kojima way way up and ppl talk like he's a god because he knows how to abbreviate military organizations and kinda sorta knows world history.

Speaking of Gibbs, I never hear anyone talk about Cold Day in Hell. Albums got some heat on it even if some of the beats sound oddly derivative for some reason. 187 is nasty.
