Master P- Mamas Bad Boy
As we head into 1992, Master P release his second album entitled Mamas Bad Boy. This album is more of an improvement over his first effort Get Away Clean. The production is better as P lecture his gangsta raps concerning pulling 211s, selling dope, life in the hood, and keeping those jimmies wrapped tight. Tracks like Shoot em Up, Im Going Big Time, and Trust Nobody provides the listener with that old school Bay area gritty sound. P goes in a different approach with his rhymes, he has potential but in reality
he sounds just like every Bay area rapper during the time. There was a rumor that Master P was a New Orleans native, but you couldnt tell the difference in this album. Will he ever find his voice and own identity
or will he continue to be a West Coast Bad Boy?
Overall, the album is a bit better than his debut album
however there is something missing with this rap artist. If you love The Predator, The South Park Psycho, and The Chronic
make sure you pick this album up at your local The Wall and Sam Goody stores.
Overall Score: 7.5
