I have a feeling the Drake x Future tape isn't coming. Too good to be true / heading to the vault because of label business.
Shouldn't Drake be out of Cash Money? Isn't his Apple contract related only to his new album and his radio show? Shouldn't a colab album with Drake make Future even more relevant to the big public and bring more commercial success?

I just don't see how any label would oppose this, if anything it would make everyone even more thirsty for VF6 and whatever Future releases. Except if it sucks, then yeah, it would be bad for them lol.

Drake isn't out of Cash Money, but even then, it sounds like it's more from Future's side. I guess now that he's catching on Epic wants to push / milk DS 2 as much as possible and don't want anything taking attention away from that (like a new Future video from DS 2 just dropped last night). If this came out as a free tape, they ain't making any money, and if it's a paid one then they'd maybe have to work something out with Republic and Drake's side.

None of this is confirmed though, it could come out in 20 minutes for all I know, just a lot of believable speculation that there's label shit holding it back http://www.kanyetothe.com/forum/index.php?topic=3818089

More interested about what the label situation is for the Drake x Future tape than anything else. Thought that "leaked" document provided insight but it didn't really say anything one way or another.

peep Kanye's twitter right now, he's previewing his clothing line and it's hilarious.

I don't get it...

Not even trying to be funny, but are these meant to be like every day clothes? Or is this more just like an art exhibition type thing? I'm confused.

Yeah I think Ye has a great history of picking great colours and silhouettes and some generally fly shit but I guess all I really want from him is some regularly priced streetwear.

The HBA/Been Trill knockoffs don't exactly cut it either.

Yeah, as just like an art piece type of thing some of the designs are interesting.

I believe there will be more palatable variations of these designs that will trickle down to the mainstream

look at my man here, 2 posts back in & bringing the ruckus

that's actually a very high key right there, i'd argue

Yeah, I guess. So, like this basically:
Illmatic > Street's Disciple > Lost Tapes

Nah, joking.
Illmatic > Lost Tapes > Street's Disciple

West Coast Bad Boyz: High Fo Xmas

The holiday season is within a few months, let’s celebrate the holidays early with some fresh bomb dank and a Christmas “classic” by the West Coast Bad Boyz entitled “High fo Xmas”. Around 1994, Master P came up with an idea of putting together a compilation of the finest rappers out of California on one CD that would expand into three volumes. Imagine Band Aid without the charity and g funk with some of that old gangsta shit. You would get this collective of rappers from JT the Bigga Figga, Lil Ric, Dangerous Dame, etc. Now back to the album, “High fo Xmas” was a Christmas album without the corny yule tied songs that keep getting redone every year.

You have the title song which sets the scene of loc’ed out G’s getting high and chilling as snowdrops fall gracefully on palm trees. Other tracks like “Lock Up fo Xmas”, “Christmas in da Ghetto” and “Chillin n’ da Game” gives the listener a change of pace from the traditional Silver Bells tunes that your grandma plays during the season. Even Master P drop some gems on a track called “Jacking Fo da Holidays”, an ole to the Ice Cube classic Jackin 4 Beats with his own flavor.
Bottom line for a Hip Hop Christmas album, it’s worth checking out for the lolololz. Don’t expect anything serious and mindblowing with this album…it’s just for the og’s that want to hear something with a bit of coal in the stocking.

Overall Score: 7.5
