Just listened to the Future/Drake tape, shit has some bangers but on the first listen its alright to me, around a 7 whereas DS2 was an 8.5.

Will still bump that shit in the whip doe, it'll probably grow on me.

It's just ignant trap shit that largely relies on production. It's mainly fun music to bump but it's quite alright if you don't dig it because there's usually not much depth.

DS2 is and will be probably the only Future project I actively care for

i honestly wouldn't be surprised if he reupped. even if he gettin jerked on his album money there's a certain level of insulation that Birdman (street level) and UMG suits (boardroom level) can provide that he won't get elsewhere. better to roll w/ the devil you know. seems to be going well (apple deal, craptors, jordan deal, etc).

Nah, I can't see it as smart move after what happened to Wayne. He was bigger than Drake ever will be, and look at what Birdman did to him.

Of course Drake is way smarter than Wayne and maybe his contract isn't as fucked up as his mentor's, unfortunately we will probably never know the details of all this fuckery.

It just rubs me the wrong way how untouchable Birdman is, truly a modern day Suge Knight.

I'm not sure I agree with this. Drake is pretty damn big. Big enough for his mixtape of b-sides to go platinum

I have my doubts too to be honest. Wayne downfall was too abrupt, that probably won't happen to Drake. But still, Wayne's highest high, around Carter 3, was not achieved by Drake yet.

A mill first week is something not even Eminem could get post rehabilitation. And just to be clear, I'm talking about commercial success only.

I fuck with Drake's music but this is probably my least favorite project from him. Just wish it had more 40 than Metro on it, really.

This is pretty much a Future project with Drake features. I confess it was hard to sell this dude to me. I was a Future, Keef, Thugga hater for a long time.

To me they always lacked depth and sounded like idiots rapping about the most ridiculous things. The use of auto tune didn't do any favor to them in my view too, like, "how come these guys call themselves rappers? Talking about these ignorant shit, with these weirdass voice, almost like a parody"

This year I just started looking at them with different eyes, I stopped caring about their weird style, the use of auto tune, the fact I can barely understand them or the ridiculous lyrics. It's unfair to compare them to the "regular rapper" (like what's that supposed to be?), because that's not what they are proposing to begin with.

They make stupid fun songs with insanely good production/beats. It's the shit that makes you struggle dance, go all out at the club, laugh about the silly lyrics and just have a good time. That's what they propose and they are really good at that.

Wish there was more boi1 and Vinylz on WATTBA. Seems like Metro/Future had a few tracks and Drake jumped on em. Really fun project though, can see quite a few doing well in the clubs/urban radio.

Also is Views dropping on Halloween?

Too many references to it on the tape and all the OVO people keep posting the pumpkin emojis.
