Kanye just said Yeezus and 808s are better than MBDTF in a live interview.

Link if anyone wants to watch

I agree with him. Yeezus was more concise and mixed better, and i liked that it wasn't flooded with vocal features like MBTBDTF. 808s is really only good for the singles, but I think it's influential, you can see a lot of its DNA in Future etc.

Listening to XXX for the first time and wow...the production on this is great. I can't believe I didn't look into Danny Brown's previous stuff before Old.

Honestly XXX and Hybrid is his best work beyond his previous mixtapes. He found his own identity with those two albums.

I was reading about him online and that was mentioned. His past is pretty interesting.

I still gotta give Hybrid a listen. I'll do that soon.

Indeed. You'll enjoy it. I tried listening to his Detroit State of Mind series and it wasn't that good. It reminds me of Kendrick Lamar's mixtapes when he was K.Dot.

Yeah XXX is fucking dope, such a good album. I really liked Old as well but I consider XXX to be the better album overall.

The album is finished, there are streamings online, there are printed versions out there and it still didn't leak? Weed carriers fell off.

Granted I haven't heard the vinyl which may sound better, but MBTBBQ's muddy mixing really hurts it. If it was just a boom bap album I'd be relatively fine with it. But that album has so many instruments and nuances. Imagine if Late Registration sounded that bad. ugh.

Honestly it's pretty baffling how that could happen. I haven't read much on the post-production history of the album but Kanye has such a good ear that I thought he'd catch that. Perhaps it was intentional, who knows.

Yeah, the mastering of MBDTF hurts it pretty bad. Even though I prefer it to both of those albums.

Wonder if there will ever be a remastered version of it. Or is that just it and Ye is blind to the issues.

"I would probably be in my emotions too if my first album was named Get rich or Die Tryin and I filed bankruptcy... I guess his.. kidneys failed"

It is intentional.

The new Sprite episodes are shit, it's typical this happens just as I discover the series -_-

Yeah :/...hopefully they go back to their roots with the series because the new format is garbage. I knonw they'll make more money from doing the Sprite deal, but even the producers seem comfortable with the shit and that audience. Holy mother of pearl. I'll rather see a personal dingy studio with 10 old midis over that shit.

The Just Blaze episode was dope though. Random fact: he found out about Sean Price passing during the taping of the episode, hence why dude was out of place the whole time. Yet he still manage to cook up a banger.
