in no order. these are all important albums either due to nostalgia for yung disco or stuff I will revisit occasionally and still love.

a bunch of runner ups and shit tho.

So there's a Neptunes forum (well two originally which became one) where a bunch of people came together to share Neptunes tracks about 10 years ago. Since then a bunch of us have gone on to become rappers, producers, filmmakers, photographers, artists, fashion designers, writers, etc and it was always this cool thing that at its core Chad and Pharrell had birthed this next-generation of creatives.
Drake's from there, Janelle Monae, Diplo, Keri Hilson, M.I.A, Kenna, Tyler and others from Odd Future, etc.
It's still active today too, but remains as low-key as it ever was.
That's why the fact we got a mini-feature in the 100th issue of Fader is pretty crazy:

How The N.E.R.D Forums Low-Key Invented The Rap Internet

It's small but appreciated, I always thought the history and impact of this fan-forum made an interesting story.

I have fallen way the fuck behind in music. I'm only just now able to do some catching up but there is just too much to pick up all together, anybody mind chiming in with opinions on the new albums from the following?

Scarface
K Camp
Tyga
Method Man
Chevy Woods
Snowgoons
Young Dro
Do or Die
Underachievers
Paul Wall
Foreign Exchange
Sir Michael Rocks
2 chainz
Casey veggies
Apollo Brown
Fetty Wap
Eric Sermon
Scotty ATL
Chuck Inglish
Daz

Anything else I am missing that I shouldn't?

It doesn't help that I only listened to it this year, so it does nothing for me.

Yeah I can see that.
Trap has become so oversaturated that a lot of the albums impact has already been diluted.
Time won't be kind to it in the way it has been to Low End Theory, Chronic, Supa Dupa Fly and other influential, transformative albums.
Listening to Hard in Da Paint 5 years ago really was crazy though!

My personal favourite top ten albums:

Boy Meets World - Fashawn
Below The Heavens - Blu & Exile
Bayani - Blue Scholars
Acid Rap - Chance The Rapper
The College Dropout - Kanye
Dusty Foot Philosopher - K'naan
The Cool - Lupe
Doe or Die - AZ
Illmatic - Nas
Aquemini - Outkast

Boy Meets World may be my most played album ever. Fash reminds me of AZ - extremely underrated and underappreciated.

Ohh, will read. Spent so many hours on http://theneptunes.org/ back in the days.

High School Math Teacher: Kayne, I'm sorry, but you've completely failed the final exam. Did you even study?

Kanye: I got them wrong on purpose.

Teacher: Like here, I wrote "Solve for x" and you've drawn a picture of a sneaker.

Kanye: ....

I have fallen way the fuck behind in music. I'm only just now able to do some catching up but there is just too much to pick up all together, anybody mind chiming in with opinions on the new albums from the following?

Scarface - Starts off being like this great blast from the past until you realize every song follows the same basic formula and there isn't going to be any gangsta shit to break up the monotony.
K Camp - Some fantastic hits on here, but it's just not very consistent and almost a little too radio friendly...Definitely worth checking out though
Tyga - Incredible production, but Tyga's emptiness and swagger jacking will grate on you by the end I guarantee and you'll never want to replay it
Method Man - Basically a compilation of meth and friends where the no-name, unskilled friends share just as much time on the mic over uninspired Bobby-Digital lite sounding beats.
Chevy Woods - Nothing really bad about this, definitely worth checking out...It's mostly downtempo bangers, but there's some solid work on here and great features. Great riding around the town music.
Snowgoons - Same old same old with little evolution or progression, but if you want to listen to hard boom-bap revivalist shit you could do worse.
Young Dro - If you're talking about Hell Cat it has some true bangers if you can tolerate some auto-tune, but it wouldn't be an album I'd personally think you'd be into
Do or Die - Starts off really strong with some tracks that really take you back to the early 90s murderous southern rap stylistically, yet it fades really quickly into some whack soft shit with a bunch of failed attempts at incorporating more pop sounds.
Underachievers - It's supposed to be this incredible reflective poetic concept album, but there's nothing very catchy or memorable in terms of the music they're rapping nor their song writing, which is less of a knock against their lyrical ability than their song making ability.
Paul Wall - It's not too bad, but he's really just been trying to re-ignite the hype of the People's Champ but he doesn't seem to have the same sort of vigor or knack for street savvy one-liners like he did in the past.
Foreign Exchange - They've basically abandoned any semblance of hip-hop and went to a neo-soul, disco revival sort of album. It's okay.
Sir Michael Rocks - Avoid at all costs, the album is basically an expansion of the Playstation 1.5 sound where Michael is on some half-rapping half off key crooning shit over vaporwave like beats. AVOID
2 chainz - Surprisingly good tape, though it's not banger after banger like people might want...2 Chainz never goes conscious, but he's definitely experimenting with his sound and flow a bit over here, and it's just a tad less ignant than you might expect.
Casey veggies - Sounds like a Dom Kennedy album without the beats and a more try-hard emcee.
Apollo Brown - If you like Apollo Brown you'll love this, definitely check it out, the beats are more of his usual soulful boom-bap affair and there are some great features on this.
Fetty Wap - Pretty fucking repetitive, but if you've enjoyed his singles you might enjoy this, it just seems rather one-note and like he's reusing the same melodies over and over.
Eric Sermon - It seems like none of these older cats know how to employ non-abrasive hooks that aren't so heavy handed, outdated, and cheesy. I mean honestly Sermon still can rap pretty well, but the beat selection and hooks really bury this shit man. It has some features you might like though too.
Scotty ATL - Has some real low moments when his hooks and themes don't work out or tip the cornball scale, but the highs are what make this mixtape more than worth checking out especially if you like early KRIT and the like.
Chuck Inglish - Chuck really ain't all that on the mic, but the minimal bass-heavy beats on this are banging for sure, and it's littered with great features to conceal all of his shortcomings. It's a pretty good banger compilation, doesn't really work as an album though.
Daz - A bit uneven, but definitely worth checking out if you're a real Daz fan, I don't like most of the tracks, but there were a few that I picked out to thrown in a certain playlist. At times it's almost too bombastic and devoted to its west-coast roots in a way that I think detracts from what could have been a better album. The beats are actually pretty good, but some questionable features on it too.

Anything else I am missing that I shouldn't?

As far as recommendations go I just dropped the Q3 rapup...

And here are my favorite October release thus far:

White Boiz Neighborhood Album, here's a good track from it:

The new Illa J is pretty smooth and groovy too:

Oh and the new Azizi Gibson is really good too:

Top five on my list. It's not as good as their Love in Flying Colors album, but it's still a good album.

Throwback Drake:
Closer - Drake Ft. Andreena Mill

Yessir, Mika is still holding it down and getting tracks for us!
We got like 1,800+ in the collection now I think...

Sideline on Drake, obviously we all loved Timbaland too and Drake wanted to work with him and get a Neptune track with Clipse on it.
So years later on Thank Me Later he got a Timbo track to close the album and did actually record a track with The Neptunes but I guess he couldn't get Clipse on it due to the Wayne beef or whatever so it never came out.
Shame, it would've been a cool moment.
Like when Tyler rapped with Pusha and got Pharrell on his album, it was good for all of us.
Earl got a Neptune track, M.I.A got a Timbo track, Diplo had a record with Pharrell finally last year, The Internet have Chad on their latest album... lot of people made it happen, pretty crazy.

Let's not act like Kane was Craig G brehs

BDK is great but him wasting his prime to play the goofy dark chocolate lover role is one of the worst style shift decisions of a HoF rapper ever. Even PhoenixDark probably can't run through those albums without cringing.

And the supposed comeback albums after that wack shit weren't really that good either.
