Two days until the new MF'N Exquire drops.

Will be interesting to see where he is musically now. Like Maffew Ragazino it seems like he has completely fallen out of relevance compared to many of the similar artists who came up at similar times (Bronson, Roc Marci, Danny Brown, etc).

Yeah I just want a good project from the dude. Then he can do whatever the fuck he wants.

As a fan of battle rap, I urge you all not to even touch that Keith Murray vs. Fredro Starr battle.

Literally the definition of flabby n sick. The referee's look alone says it all. That's before Keith dresses up as KRS One and shit just reaches new, unforseen levels of cringe.

Holy shit, blast from the past. Shit is still hilarious lmao
I love how the elitism already existed back then

There is something fascinating about the first years of German rap and stuff like the early 2000's.

Yeah, haha. Do you know who he is? Can't find anything. Not even sure if he actually is a producer.

Master P- Ghetto D

220px-Masterp11.jpeg

Yes! If you thought the Ice Cream Man album was Master P’s greatest album….you are still right. September 9th 1997, Master P finally release his sixth album entitled Ghetto D. It was originally called Ghetto Dope, but drug references on an album title won’t fly with the masses and some record execs. Also, did you know that the original cover was supposed to have a drug addict smoking out of a glass pipe with No Limit’s previous work coming out of the smoke? Google it! Anyway, back to the album. This time around Master P went more of a commercial approach with this album. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of bangers such as the album track “Ghetto D” which gives the listener some insight of how to cook crack, courtesy of C-Murder. Seriously, dude just let the cat out of the bag with those instructions.

Also, this album had back to back smash singles like “I Miss My Homies” and “Make Em Say Uhh!”, which put No Limit further on top of the game. However, this album plays it too safe at times. For a title like Ghetto D, you would be expecting back to back bangers like P’s previous work Ice Cream Man. Unfortunately, some tracks on the album just put the whole theme of Ghetto D on the back burner. For every track like “Weed and Money”, there is a mediocre track like “Stop Hatin”. The album started to become dull after a while, until “Pass Me Da Green” came on (one of the best tracks on the album). The No Limit army are heavily featured throughout the album as usual. This would end up being P’s marketing plot to get people to buy his albums. Why get a rapper on a track when you can get the entire roster showing off their lyrical skills? It worked, but it soon fizzled out as time progressed.

Bottom line, this is a must own for any hip hop fan that enjoys some old school 90s southern hip hop. Before there was Thug Motivation and even Dirty Spite 2, there was Ghetto Dope. So pay homage to this critically acclaimed album….and get Ice Cream Man as well.

Overall Score: 8.0

Dude made the shit look easy.

damn, stuff like this makes me really wanna get into it one day...kinda wanna watch more of this series

Who knew in 2015 that Fredro Starr would be destroying a rapper in a battle without any effort being put into it.

Murray was just off his meds, never you mind that

So it's a GAF consensus that Ready to DIe > Life After Death

Hear a lot of plaudits about XXX but the only Danny Brown I've heard was his feature on Detroit vs Everybody and I hated that high pitched screechy voice.

Anyway, my top 10:

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
Kendrick Lamar - Good kid, m.A.A.d city
Kendrick Lamar - Section.80
Biggie - Life After Death
Biggie - Ready to Die
Eminem - The Eminem Show
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Nas - Illmatic
Lupe Fiasco - The Cool
50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Trying

Kanye is just a few little steps away from becoming Terrence Howard crazy

The man who said this
After high school, he attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, studying chemical engineering, until he got into an argument with a professor about what one times one equals. "How can it equal one?" he said. "If one times one equals one that means that two is of no value because one times itself has no effect. One times one equals two because the square root of four is two, so what's the square root of two? Should be one, but we're told it's two, and that cannot be." This did not go over well, he says, and he soon left school. "I mean, you can't conform when you know innately that something is wrong."
