Listening to that Marshall remix straight up killed my already low interest in that song

When I was a (lot) younger I went to a party that I knew a girl I liked was gonna be at.
I see her there kissing some other dude.
I go home.
I cry myself to sleep.

Kendrick stans get ready

A perfect concert usually ends on a high note. Last night’s annual Power 105 Powerhouse concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn was not a perfect concert. The show ended with Kendrick Lamar performing in front of a half full arena – more on that later.

It was after midnight when Future wrapped up his set. Kendrick Lamar was left. It didn’t matter, as thousands of people poured out of the arena, deciding to skip out on Kendrick’s set. The ones who stayed took in a Kendrick performance that was lively, but not particularly exciting. K.Dot performed a bunch of joints from his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city. Perhaps he knew that those songs work better in front of a crowd like this. Songs from To Pimp A Butterfly, his great sophomore album, sound better in a smaller, more intimate venue.

It was clear that the powers that be were trying to get Kendrick to wrap up his show. Kendrick refused. Instead he closed the show with the inspirational To Pimp A Butterfly track “Alright,” ending a night that was far from perfect. But hey, it was alright.

That's an L, even if you can argue it wasn't his concert. TPAB doesn't resonate with a lot of these kids, and trotting out 3 year old GKMC songs isn't cutting it either.

Makes me wonder why it's nearly November and he still doesn't have an actual tour. That Kunta Groove Session shit doesn't count, it's moreso like Cole's Dollar And A Dream shows. IE the type of shit you do before announcing your major tour.

Apparently Kendrick shouted out Travis Scott at the show lol. He better get on that wave production wise because another TPAB will literally kill his relevance with this generation. And I say that as someone who thinks it's probably the best rap album of the last 10 years.

Kinda surprised people were leaving, GKMC has songs that resonate with younger audiences. Maad city, backseat freestyle and swimming pools especially. I don't think his next album will be similar to GKMC or TPAB, and I can't imagine him jumping on trap beats but I wouldn't mind that lol.
