yea man, dope rappers have to see Clams giving beats to people who can't even rap and think "I need to get some of that shit"

come on, dude is wasting classic material on Lil B. No offense to the based god of course

I enjoy Lil B's songs but yeah some of the beats he's giving that guy are like best of the decade tier.

Illusions of Grandeur...like wtf.

Yeah, how has Clams not blown up? ASAP tape was big last year, and how could somebody listen to Wassup and Palace and not ask who the producer is?

Just picked up Jesus Piece Deluxe @ Best Buy so I got the extra tracks but just realized the Celebration (remix) with Bone Thugs isn't on here. Was that version just for the video?

Real talk: why don't more artists fuck with Clams Casino?

Dudes beats can't be expensive, and at the same time he's had enough exposure since everyone in the industry has listened to Lil B and Rocky and heard the kind of production they've been over on their biggest tracks?
clams is off that. he ain't done shit this year. if you ask me I think he's putting stock in PT school or whatever he's studying instead of the game. can't blame him

He's trying to get that R&B money. Last blip I heard he was working with Tinashe. R&B might be a good fit for him though.

I remember reading an interview with Mike Will and he was saying how he prefers working with singers to rappers because they're more open to new sounds/shit. Rappers want (need?) more structured shit. He might be on that tip.

Clams doesn't knock.
And he doesn't have a hot song under his belt.

Fraud didnt pop until Shot Caller, which is one of his tamer beats IMO.

I think the reason the Pretty Flacko remix isn't on the CD is because it was a SpaceGhostPurpp beat right?

What if SGP didn't want it on the album?

And my favorite Clams beat has to be I'm God

yeah the streets aren't trying to hear the weird wall of sound shit. interesting about the R&b peeps being more into new sounds

Hey does anyone have dibs on an ASAP OT? It's a pretty big album, I would do one for sure. Domino, or any other big ASAP fans want it?

Doesn't help that rap production is hihat/snare heavy/crazy right now and a lot of Clams' stuff can be a bit sparse in those areas. If you're used to stuff like that of course you won't know what the fuck to do with a clams beat.

Didn't have to be that way for Yung Chop though.

Though I guess yeah that is what the streets want to hear right now.

There needs to be a category called "rapper that Gaf-Hop needs to quit fronting about" in the aoty thread.

Ace have you never done a bay area mix? Like early 00 late 90s?
Not yet definitively on my to do list

Trinidad James signed to Def Jam for 2 Milly.

you know i was maybe like 63% serious about Finally Rich being AOTY...
but this shit is fun so far (halfway). this is how i always imagined a mainstream trap album would sound.
it goes hard and its super polished. no crossover pop shit like what usually brings Gucci albums down.
i cant wait to blast this driving back to campus tomorrow morning. im walking into that exam ratchet as fuck.

that TI/ASAP track is sick too. ill check that album out sometime this week. the songs ive heard so far have been promising.

Crossover pop shit comes in the 2nd album

And there have been plenty of mainstream trap albums

2 mil for 1 hot track? Nice

This Jeezy mixtape is fucking DOPE. Gotdamn, 5 tracks in and I like every single track. And I don't even love Jeezy as much as peeps like Ace do.

Also, Clams beats never really has a mainstream feel to them. Which I guess most people are fine with, but theres a reason why people like Lil B gets them beats. To his credit though, his instrumental albums are the only ones I can really listen to.
