I know this isn't the place to ask, but I know there are a lot of producers here so I figured I would go ahead and ask anyway. I'd like to start producing with garageband, there used to be a thread (or at least I think there was) to help people get started with the basics of making hip-hop beats. However, I can't find it for the life of me. If it was actually my imagination and there was no such thread, could anyone point me out to a good site for the basics?

Honestly, I just used youtube. Watched a few videos enough to know what I am doing and what certain knobs meant then I taught myself other stuff by just messing around a lot. Someone else here might say something besides youtube tho

I think they're pretty damn good for what they're intended for. Impressive creatively, they bang, and sound like nothing else out there. Mark of great beats.
