Technical attributes and quality of the MC shouldn't matter too much in a diss song. Obviously some form of a rap song should be there and being a coherent rapper is a must to even understand the diss. That's why I would take Truth over Ether 8 days of the week. The actual content of the track trumps anything to do with Ether. But there is the impact and legacy of the track which is a valid reason to have Ether as the superior track. I also had a disconnect to the East Coast when I was younger so there's that.
