That Spitta/Currency EP has some very dope production. Nice Brazilian/Cuban chill vibe. Reminds me of that dope Brazil mixtape Madlib did.

The songs aren't that great but overall it's a nice EP

Indicud feels a little "cheap" at times. Some of the tracks do give off a dark and almost spooky feeling which I like though. He still does stuff like "Lord of the Sad and Lonely". I feel like he is always trying to tell us how sad he is all the time. Like a one of those depressed reddit users or some emo highschool kid. I really wish he would step away from that kind of writing. Very dull album.

Even if you think you're done with NORE, everyone REALLY needs to peep the new NORE. Some great Pharrell, Pete Rock, Large Pro, Scarface, French.

It's his best effort since Melvin Flint Da Hustler easily, if not N.O.R.E.

I'm a NORE apologist, but I didn't even think he had THIS in him. Goddam. Surprise of the Year easily. This shit just came straight out of left field in terms of how straight quality it is. One of the best modern east coast albums that manages to bring some 90s nostalgia without sounding like some intentional old sounding Joey Badass shit. It blends modern and 90s East sounds pretty much seamlessly.

Even if you think you hate NORE, check this if you have love the the East at all.

This shit will actually wind up in my top 10. no hyperbole.

;_; home boy you were rapping about airplanes before and the magic and now there's booty in your songs

BoB, Cudi and all the bleached butt hair rappers you like have always been about the booty since day one, theyve just run out of other things to rap about.

I know, lol. Well, B.o.B in particular "separated" his styles into two. B.o.B is that balla balla garbage and Bobby Ray is that friendly guy.

B.oB. has a nice track on the new Funk Flex tape, it's one of the better songs on it - Flexed Up.

And yes, I've listened to the entire mixtape, it's like 45 tracks long and utterly mediocre. :(

Since I'm mixing the project, I figured I should drop the artwork on Neogaf also...its already on thecoli.

Big Boi and Killer Mike show was great. Killer Mike was stoned, but to an even greater extent cause it was his birthday. He was super happy and amped to be there. Still got p political FUCK THE POLICE & FUCK REAGAN etc.

Then the biggest of bois played through his history as an artist in one giant medley. It was nuts. Skew it on the Bar-B, Elevators, Player's Ball, everything. Got a huge a capella Ms Jackson going. Then Killer Mike came back on for Ready Set Go and Thom Pettie.

Met KM after the show too, really sweet guy. I definitely recommend the show; they probably played like 30 songs in all and they threw down.

Best song of the night was probably Kryptonite. Place went nuts.

Awesome, hopefully I'll see them next month.
Okay- Concert review

Underachievers- got there too late, missed em, kinda bummed cuz they killed the feature they did w/ Flatbush

Flatbush Zombies- KILLED. Really impressed, played a bunch of new tracks, brought out Bodega Bamz, etc. Got crazy hype, ppl were going ham. Still a rap show tho, but high energy. At one point there were like 20 ppl on stage.

Joey- Here's my main problem- he tried to get the crowd hype, and he brought energy, but its just tough w/ his music. Also- he's the biggest case of "this dude is just a dude" I've ever seen. He does nothing new/different. His crew TURNT THE FUUUUCK up tho, crowd surfing, stage diving, water gunning the crowd down.

Statik Selektah is one of the best rap DJs I've seen. He does this thing were he plays the instrumental, and usually where most DJs cut the music for the punch line, he'll drop the actual vocals to beef up the punchline. Good stuff.

RIP Steez, a lot of stuff about him/played 2 unreleased songs.
I feel like Gaf-Hop is more into talking about shows now and it makes me happy. I wish I could see Flatbush Zombies lol, probably the only one here besides Soilbreak that likes them enough to keep checking for them. Hopefully their next project is better than the last one they dropped.

i liked zombies feature on bath salts. are a lot of their songs like that? i could vibe with that.

are there any rappers that have done a turnaround on you (for the better)? i'm actually actively looking forward to mac miller's next album based on how good his production (his own and also the beats he is given) is.....

...mac miller. kinda annoying voice though but i can really vibe with his songs because of the beats.

i could never fuck with a mac miller album in my life but i did come around on Danny Brown and Tity Boi. Possibly one day in the Future i could flip on that, but probably not.

the problem with mac miller is once you like mac miller youre that guy that likes mac miller and nobody wants that

I don't man, but I am giving a heads up if I do end up fucking with a Mac Miller album. I will be hyping him up like Peter does with Kanye JUST BECAUSE of the complete 180 I have done on him.

lol well yeah i wouldn't openly admit to it in public. but he's got some good beats. will keep an eye out for that flylo one.

it's just above telling people you're a nazi. speaking of which i dunno why in the hell gunplay has that dumb ass swaztika tattoo

You know I am actually surprised how many people truly fuck with Mac Miller. Industry wise and just in general man. I remember my friend asking if she could play some of her own music in my car awhile back and she played Mac Miller. That was the last time I ever let her do that, but it surprised the fuck outta me how much she digs him.

i think it was caco who said he just zones out his voice when he listens to mac miller. i'm sure a lot of his fans subconsciously do that too lol

he got the best clams casino beat of 2012

live in concret was weesh man, probably due to the same issue (fuck lord Finesse). The only decent song imho was blended. Overall, it really disappointing cause that EP wiz and spitta did with Big Sean was dope as fuck... Biggest mistake all the parties involved did was not releasing those songs as a mixtape cause it was better than this mess.

The chick I was with was black btw and she was quoting him.

I remember not to long ago there was this schoolboy q interview where he was hyping up new songs Mac recorded.

a lot of it's stuff we've already heard but it's an interesting listen. i'm surprised Never Letting Go never made it on an album.

I've never listened to a single song of his, nor have I heard him featured on anything. Feels good man.

So you didn't listen to 9th Wonder - Wonder Years, Statik Selekah - Population Control, Ski Beatz - 24 Hour Karate School Presents: Twilight, or Meek Mill- Dreamchasers 2?

I find that hard to believe my dark skin brother. 3 out of 4 of those projects are dusty enough to make me believe you listened to at least one of them completely
