bubububu the Control verse had no impact on anything
This is easy. We'll just preemptively move the goal post a bit right of center:
"Getting on the cover of GQ does not imply impact. What does GQ even have to do with hip hop?"
bubububu the Control verse had no impact on anything
Has there ever been a year a rapper gets this much shine without dropping a project?bubububu the Control verse had no impact on anything
So when is man of the year dropping? When does that shitty NBA game release?
Maybe thats cause he already knew this sort of l was coming. I wouldnt know i dont care about that :wow:
Anyway, Drake should be mad, dude craves validation from outlets like this im sure. He aint even on the cover in any capacity....wow
Drake was on the cover of GQ twice tho
Its probably more like four or three butDrake was on the cover of GQ twice tho
Hes more relevant. His music pushes more copies and he techically had two hot singles this year.Wale was once as relevant as Drake and Cudi.
That Drake video was so random.
King Kendrick
Just to stir the pot. Kendrick wouldn't be on the GQ cover if control didn't drop.
The WU is dead, guys. It's like, wow, I kept trying to pull people together. I spent a lot of money and a lot of time this year. I put my movie career on hold for the first half of the year because I was focusing on making this. I went down to Memphis, I went down to Philadelphia, I came back to the East Coast to reopen the Wu Mansion [RZA's old house in New Jersey, where a bulk of post36 Chambers material was recorded]. I invested thousands of dollars to rebuild it so that we can have a place to record a new album. And when I scheduled that to happen, only a few good brothers showed up.
And one of the guys who showed up the most was Method Man. He showed the most tenacity, he was the most vocal, he showed up the most, and he got the most lyrics on the new album. He's already recorded eight or nine songs. Hes been on it. You know, I give Cappadonna credit, hes been really on it. U-God has been present. Masta Killa be representing. Inspectah Deck has been somewhat present. Ghost has been, you know, 20 percent present. And Raekwon hasn't shown up at all. When you look at somebody like Masta Killa and U-God, they seem to have that original hunger to complete the legacy. I respect that everybody [is] busy with they own lives. I started with a plan that I thought would work. Now maybe my plan not working.
Who would you love to collaborate with?
Drake. Hes like my #1 dream collaboration. I love his music so much, and I just love how honest and real he is. I feel like I relate to what hes saying, and I feel like we could make a really amazing, super emo and honest song together.
He actually did mention him later on, you can read the interview hereNo mention of Gza, at this point he is that guy in the porn outtakes who can't get hard.
I feel like we have enough material on the album. I just need Raekwon to come onboard fully. I need some more energy from Ghost and GZA. If they give that energy, I will give us a great last album. If they don't give us the energy, I gotta figure out a plan B."
Man the disappointment is just dripping from that RZA quote. I guess you just cant help some people.
Hey man I understand how important getting high, eating shitty food and beating off is but rae needs to make time in life for the little things like doing his joblook rae is busy
he's got a lotta shit going on, you don't realize what's involved.

Sure his platinum album had nothing to do with it...
You released your big radio single
If I was Meth I'd just say fuck it, go to Cali, and do shit with Alchemist or whoever. He still has mainstream appeal IMO. Get some guest verses, let your name ring out, and just build.
A good final wu album and tour is pretty much free money. I dont get why some of the wu does not like money.
Because a good album requires doing work, moving around, not getting as high as you want, and listening to what the RZA is telling you. Nobody got time for that shit.
Deserving for the best Wu member.method man makes more per show than the other members.
Everyone's heard it by now, unbiased honest opinion on Doris?
