Mecklemore Is My Favorite Wrapper
Whoever put me onto Purity Ring, thank you.
You think they are going to like them?????
I used to love Rakim, but his stuff has aged really poorly for me. Same with Biggie, actually. And this is coming from someone who didn't start with the indie/alt/hipster stuff. I would assume it would be worse for people who did. idk maybe its just this anti-rappity rap phase I'm going through. ¯\_(ツ_/¯
I do think Wu-Tang will have a lot of fans though. They are exciting.
I don't even know if they'll like stuff like Divine Styler.
"They" being people who are just starting to get into hip hop because of Brown/DG. I'm not saying there are a lot of them, I'm not saying the PF/Indie scene is better than the classics, I'm not saying that its going to change things. I was just pointing out that I don't think those dudes are going to like that stuff. Based on lots of post I see on here and other boards. I'm not sure why you thought I was trying to be an ass.Who is they?
how many people in the world comprise the group of people who give a shit about Danny Brown / Death Grips etc? Can you even say it's 250k people out there? I don't think you understand that the 1990 to about 2005 is the 'Classic' era of rap. It will continue to get burn. Forget dudes like Biggie/Wu Tang/Rakim, who people across the world know by name. Even minor guys from that era can rack up solid dough touring the EU, Japan, and US.
the p4k/indie scene you love so much is built on sticks; it'll have even less longevity than the backpacker shit of the 00s.
Damn, you fooled me.And this is coming from someone who didn't start with the indie/alt/hipster stuff.
I kinda started with Wu-Tang and Eminem and then worked my way back. I can see how you get that though cuz thats pretty much all I listen to now.Damn, you fooled me.
I don't know. It's pretty damn easy to separate rap music from the 90's, early 00's, mid-late 00's and current. I can appreciate the huge differences. Just depends on my mood.
No different from switching genres of music I'm listening to.
It's just best to pretend the Wu and none of it's individual members exist in 2013. They really are just a temporally graded memory in hip-hop.Fucking bums didn't do anything for the 20th anniversary.

Yeah, definitely. Genre merging across the board. The production grows so much with every year it seems.
1st being Liquid Swords obviously.Happy 20th to the second best Wu-Tang album.

Jhene aiko ft kendrick lamar - stay here
It's off her new EP. it sounds fucking dope and it's only a snippet. It's happening.
Yess
Like I said before in a plug.I'd give up a year of my life just to cuddle with Jhene Aiko. I don't even want to fuck, I just want to lay in bed and move my fingers through her hair and and rub her shoulders in a "it's gonna be ok, you're gonna blow up big time I just know it" way.
Jhene Aiko is my chick. I wanted to say female dog, but are animal metaphors animal frowned upon here?
spinning Third and I wanna crawl inside this album. Has to be one of the best comeback records ever

Also 20 years old:
November 9, 1993 was a damned good day in hip hop.
Midnight Marauders and 36 Chambers are both in my Top 5 all time favorites.
20 Years Old Today.
Yeah, definitely. Genre merging across the board.
1st being Liquid Swords obviously.
I maintain that Czarface is the shit
Yup

Picture didn't load at first for me and I thought you were admitting to being 20.
It's funny I didn't hear 36 chambers until after wu forever. Someone got me 36 as a gift because they saw me listening to forever. I wasnt really feeling forever (still knee deep in west coast bias at the time) and avoided listening to 36 for about a month. Throwing that on finally and listening on my beat up discman with the stolen airplane headphones...it was a fucking revelation. Album didn't leave my discman for weeks.
Yes calling a woman a bitch is stupid and most likely will get you banned...
does bad bitch count
*kanyeshrug*
Third isn't a comeback record.
10 years later isn't a comeback?
ya'll said relevance was important
if you ain't dropped an album in a decade and your job is droppin albums you kinda fell off doe
They should have had an album out in time for Black Friday, coming out this Tuesday. Maybe have Tarantino do a documentary or some shit considering he loves the Clan. Plus three straight performances on Jimmy Fallon/The Roots. Instead they did nothing and barely toured together this year.Fucking bums didn't do anything for the 20th anniversary.
Comeback implies they fell off when all 3 albums are amazing.
but haters say Dre fell off
How nigga?
My last album was The Chronic
Lazy sunday plug.... They completely updated the client over the weekend I guess; looks really interesting. Kinda reminds me of Win8 design wise maybe? Looks really cool; anyone down for some? Playing late 90s and 00s shit, pop and jansport...
