Fellas I'm looking for a nice relaxing hip hop CD to go to sleep with. Was thinking of Outkast but some tracks are a little to hype, A Tribe Called Quest maybe, or I may just go Nujabes.

Check the instrumental hip hop thread linked I the OP.

ATLiens is a great album especially with the second half.

Best Jay verses this year:

1. Devil is a Lie (by far IMO, Jay came on his So Appalled shit)
2. Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe Remix (Jay cooking while flipping his flow)
3. Crown (2st verse)
4. Crown (1st verse)
5. Dead Presidents 3 (2nd verse)

Nah, Lupe did help produce Black Skinhead though.

I know the verse got released this year but to be fair DP3 is a few years old though.

I think Devil is a Lie is actually a verse he recorded back in 99 that he just discovered on a hard drive somewhere. No way 2013 Jay did that.

1999 jay knew 2013 Jay was gonna have a barneys deal. Jay is a wizard confirmed.

Illuminati tried to keep an eye on him. It did not work.

Am I the only one who didn't think devil is a lie jay z verse is great?

Yeah its good but nothing great.

Honestly? It's one of the best lines he's spit in...like, 5 plus years. I'm not a huge Jay fan, but he monkey stomped the shit out of that verse. It was like when MJ came back to the Wizards and had that one game that reminded motherfuckers that the old decrepit fuck still had game. Jay will never, ever put out another album that is above 'ok' but that verse showed he still could drop a bar or two that will have people second guessing their decision to become a rapper.

UW High Stakes trailer. Lol @ Lux and Hollow being the most chill sitting down.

I gotta say the production is on point. I love how they went to each of these dudes home cities and filmed footage there, be it Watts or Jersey or Harlem.

Tsu Surf vs. Calicoe press conference. It's short, but dat shit talk. Calicoe calling Surf out for dickriding Kevin Durant lol

This shit is expensive as fuck though. $100 venue tickets? $30 for the PPV Ustream?

It's expensive to throw the events and he knows damn well by now people will bootleg the PPV so he's trying to squeeze out every cent.

I don't know why people would still buy tickets to the live event though knowing all the random shit that's ruined the past events be it Math punching Jones, Goodz nailing somebody in the crowd with his liquor bottle, or the general technical issues like mics being jacked up or the audio not reaching the whole crowd.
