if supreme clientele 2 isnt a made up album that ghostface has been lying about it, itll probably be pretty shitty

ghostdini was dope but thats been his only good album in a long time and even then it wasnt amazing or anything

also his beat selection was ok on big doe rehab but nothing special but mostly wack on apollo kids and 12 reasons to die didnt work for me. we havent heard any big producers work with him. no NY legends, no rza, no west coast dudes, no ye, nothing. jay z asks for a feature and he turns him down. ghost is my favorite rapper ever and definitely a smart dude but he just makes poor decisions like a mother fucker. fishscale was a hot beat tape and solid trash on the mic, he needs to give that kind of tape another go

I didn't know he turned down Jay-Z smh...

I liked Apollo Brown's version of ways to die, and I still enjoy hearing Ghost do his thing, but right now it's just that. Ghost doing what he does and not really looking to do more than that.

its whatever man, dude clearly has some raw talent and is gonna get a ton of writing credits on drake's next album, because its obvious there is nearly no mainstream marketability in makonnen himself and thus no other reason for drake to sign him. like i said, dude was gonna blow on a indie blog scale anyway sooner or later

He didn't turn Jay-Z down per se, he blew it off. I've heard Rae was ready to do it, but Ghost didn't give a shit...and Jay didn't want one, he wanted both.

I don't get Ghost. He's almost universally viewed as the best Wu rapper, producers love him...yet he seems content to put out his contractually obligated Def Jam releases and nothing else. Perhaps the surprise of watching his albums bomb sucked all the passion out of him. I still remember that video of him complaining about having so many MySpace friends, but barely anyone bought the Big Doe Rehab (underrated album imo). Since then he has been pretty lazy.

Why don't these guys go to Cali and chill with Alchemist, who is giving beats away like a water fountain. There are so many people who would flip at the opportunity to do an album for Ghost, Rae, Meth, GZA, etc. I guess we can chalk it up as a case of them being utterly divorced from the rap scene. They're never going to go gold, but it's been proven that a QUALITY project with nice art, limited edition vinyls, etc will net a profit today. Deck learned this with Czarface. Hell, Ghost did pretty well with 12 Reasons To Die. Shit is frustrating....

I feel Meth is on a different level though. He'd rather put out nothing than put out a sub-par product and has admitted when things aren't up to standards and been open about it.

He's not looking to recapture a thing and out of all the Wu members aside from RZA he seems to be the only one still enjoying what he does.

I gotta know what Kanye thinks about Pharell taking his spot as the hottest producer in the game, with all this wack shit. Blurred Lines is dope, only a hater or #sjw would deny that (it's basically a flip of one of Marvin Gaye's funkiest songs, come on). But outside of that? Dude has been TRASH recently. He ruined Get Lucky and that other Daft Punk song, smh.

As much as we laugh at Em's output nowadays, it still sells and the stannery lives on.

I never understood Pharrel's continued success as a producer. He'll put out 100 songs and 5 will be awesome and the rest will be generic "pharrel sound inc." bullshit that sounds like he put zero effort into it.
But I actually really like him as a rapper. He can't sing worth shit and he has been essentially remixing the same beats over and over for years as a producer, but he's got an interesting rapping voice and I like his flow. That Aerosol Can track for instance, love the way he sounds on that.

Yeah I agree he's pretty good at rapping but honestly I think Pharrell needs to hook back up with Chad Hugo again to reenergize himself production wise.

That soundtrack list did look bad...but why the hell are people bitching about the soundtrack for 2K13? That's one of the best soundtracks for any game in a long ass time

Really the soundtracks for sports games should be wack and sterile because that's pretty much what you hear when you go to games. Shit like Party Rock Anthem. It's more realistic that way.

FIFA games are the only sports games w/ good soundtracks and that's only cause it's a bunch of shit that hasn't blown up in the US yet so it all feels fresh. At least that's how it was when I played from the 09-12 games.

Forza 2 had the best soundtrack of any game I've bought yet. Had a bunch of music I don't usually fuck with but somehow it worked and they were all stuck in my head for months.

Oh and the old Tony Hawk games were pretty good too, 1-4 all had good soundtracks.
Need for speed underground 2 was also pretty great.
