Hahaha. I think it's cuz it reminds ppl of tamarind chutney so much.

I wish curry ketchup would catch on in the US like it has in Germany/europe. Super delicious.

Breh we have like 5 places that sell currywurst in LA. Move to a better coast. We even have 3 random food trucks that sell it.

my rice game is simple: jazmine, this Mediterranean one i forget the name of - and my old roommate left me a baller japanese rice cooker, shit always comes out delicious, even white rice. can't go back to making it any other way.

Brehs how can you fuck up rice?
Easiest shit in the world, get some long grain.
Stick it in a pot/pan with some water and boil that shit for a bit, drain then blend some water, tomato, chili, onions, garlic, chicken stock/powder etc and pour that shit over it to finish cooking.

Shit's delicious.

Buy a rice cooker there are tons in thrift stores along with really nice working bread makers


Edit: that rice looks tasty albeit a bit mushy, don't overcook the rice brehs

Rice cooker that's so necessary. He give you the Zojirushi or something like that?

As for rice dishes, I dunno. I make rice as an accompaniment to things like curries, stir fries etc etc. I rarely flavor it unless I'm making fried rice. Then I'll add things to it like mirin, tomato sauce for tomato fried rice, basil etc.

Most of the Mexican rice I've seen is generally pretty soft anyway, you cook it in what's basically watered down salsa anyway and let it absorb. I hate dry long grain rice.

The mushiness and water content is completely dependent on the recipe/person. Would you want soggy fried rice or biryani? Nah. But would you want dry congee or risotto? No.

Well I guess some people want dry risotto.

Usually white rice with the chicken juice gets the job done for me maybe some soy. This adding tomato and basil these other spices sound great as well. Chicken and rice might have to be my favorite pairing for dinner.

yup, like a slightly older model of this one - sadly my japanese is shit so it prolly has way more features/options than my round eyed gaijin dog ass is aware of, but the few i can sort out it knocks outta the park

Im nowhere near the best cook in this community(gafhop). CRS is a really good cook and a couple guys here are in culinary school or graduated from one.
