I've only ever thrown a controller in anger due to Shinobi. Punch the floor, slap my thighs, etc. Those aerial sections are so unforgiving. Honestly it's enough to drive someone right into livid rage if you play it enough because Shinobi gives you just enough rope to hang yourself. Just enough badass/satisfaction to keep playing. When you die, it's so easy to be like 'damn, how'd I fuck up like that? Gotta replay this whole level now'. Then you fuck up again when you make it 4 minutes of gameplay past where you were. Rinse and repeat. But somehow you just keep going, because the game is so fucking cool.

There's never any upgrades. The game constantly pushes you forward. The actual gameplay is simultaneously basic and deep, just like it's forebears on early consoles. It's all sheer timing and error management. It's knowing exactly how long you can wall run. The exact amount of lift and distance you get on an aerial dash, and how long to chain them.

I grew up in a third world country man. I was still playing sega genesis until 1997ish.

One of my older cousins (I would be around 8-10 and he'd be late twenties) introduced me to the PS1 and it was his second hand genesis I owned for years. I still remember playing TR1 for the first time. Had the PS1 sitting on top of a fan near a window we were playing that shit so long. One of my fondest childhood memories is being amazed near the end of that first cave in TR. How you could dive into the water and shit.

I remember playing the same two demo discs when I eventually got my own playstation. Didn't get an actual game for like another year lol.

Preemo says he's gonna produce an album for Loaded Lux.

This could be something special brehs. I think Lux can rhyme over beats pretty well but he's falling into the trap of pandering towards the mainstream with some of these songs he's putting out recently (read: not good). I have high hopes that maybe working with Preemo can have him reign it in a bit and put out some good rappity rap stuff.

Otogi series is underrated imo.

Ninja Gaiden Black is tops for me.

NG2 was a bit faster and more fluid, but it was so imba and full of bullshit that I couldn't stand it. NG Black got fast as fuck the higher the difficulty you got, so you went up in difficulty until you couldn't hang anymore. Halfway through Very Hard is where I stopped grinding through checkpoints.

I loved that damn game. Wasn't too good at it but it felt right.

I still need to play Ninja Gaiden Black...actually shit, I still need to play Ninja Gaiden 2 (got it for super cheap during a XBL sale and got the mission mode DLC as well)

I find that weird coming from you, because I was always under the impression that you hated "rappity rap".

In any case...

I don't know, brehs. I don't know how Qwel isn't the GOAT. This dude floors me with the complexity of his rhyme schemes and his capacity to stay on time. Then you internalize the concept and the track reaches another level. Over "Dead Wrong" no less. I just can't...

I like rappity rap (kind of in a trap & R&B phase right now, but boom bap is still what I enjoy most), I'm just much more critical of it. If you're gonna double down on that lane, you better come correct and add something new to the formula.

Don't really like the production. Sounds like a throwaway that got leaked.

Looks like it already got taken down? Don't know, sometimes Soundcloud fuck with me.

But yeah, looked kind of suspect to begin with. Drake controls his releases pretty damn well and everything is almost always officially through his own outlets.

A bit strange that we haven't heard any more rumblings about his next album though. All I hope is something from Ye and Drake comes to fruition.

I don't want to make a thread about it but the roleplaying in day z has been taken to it's logical conclusion and it looks dope as fuck as a mp game
http://twitch.tv/lirik

I don't know it I can handle the jank but open world devs take notes

Welp just as I post it, its over. The innovation in the PC scene is crazy in the mp area. With mods it's not all trying to nickel and dime players off f2p mechanics. I can't fuck with consoles they can't keep up with innovations in the mp area and sp shit is just same old with better graphics.

Marvin's Room Drake is best Drake, although Worst Behavior is also one of his best songs. I hope he throws in more of the melancholy and introspection from Take Care.

Introspective Drake is the worst Drake. Listening to this guy whine about how people don't like him smh. Turn up Drake is the only good Drake.

He can be just as cringeworthy in both cases. He's more at his natural habitat in the slower/R&B-like songs. His voice also suits that style of production more.

Listening to this guy talk about getting back at people who wronged him in high school

Still can't get over people laughing at him being on Degrassi

I didn't mean to insult just the production (which's drums sounds like some attempt at a fan remake and then remix of The Language), but the song is also super forgettable. Hate when rappers do the whole rhyming every line with itself without rhyming anything else in the bar. It's textbook rapper laziness.

Marvin's Room Drake is best Drake.
This is true.

That Drake song really describes his personality. I told you yall he long strokes bitches while reminding them of catty comments they made in high school.

Dope sample but it sounds unfinished.
