Insecure people like Big Sean and Drake get weirded out, as if they're above someone like Nardwuar.
I can understand depending on the situation, like sometimes people get caught off guard by what a strange persona he is, and while it's innocuous I can see how you might be like wtf especially since interviewers in the game try and milk you for whatever soundbite they can. It's a weird stimulus you're introducing to an artist. It's disarming and completely unlike any other interviewer.
Also some people just have no tolerance for weirdos.

I still don't get how any of y'all think Big Sean was trippin', he clearly was playing along and knew the doot doot and everything and even after pretend leaving he stayed to close out the interview proper. Big Sean is a mad chill guy in general, he never pulls any of that holier than thou shit.
Drake was raised on Nardwuar (dude was all over Much), and it was all love in their interview too. He even gave Nardwuar a gift IIRC.
I agree. Feel like if you're not familiar, you think you're getting punked or something.

I can see that at the beginning of the interview but once he starts showering you with these kick ass gifts it's like...just chill...
My bad, I meant Kid Cudi instead of Drake. I just mentioned Big Sean to rustle your jimmies (we talked about that interview before, he got butthurt because he didn't know the Detroit artists Nardwuar was talking about).
I'd say the weirder interviews were around the beginning of his Youtube career, where people weren't cognizant of his eccentric persona. I haven't seen a shitty Nardwuar interview in a minute tho, since most people probably know he's a cool dude by now.

What Esch saying is true, but I don't think it excuses Ab-Soul's corny ass. He's very aware Nardwuar is harmless since 2 of his crewmates got interviewed by him with no negative experiences whatsoever (the Q and Kendrick interviews are probably top 10 material). He just tried to be funny or hard or something, and it comes out as forced as everything else that comes out of his mouth.
TBH if you're in the industry and you haven't heard of Nardwuar by now, you're probably DMX. Can't sympathize with people with no chill, especially when it's so focused and mostly professional.
I think the weirdest it gets is Nardwuar stalking K.R.I.T.'s camp for weeks or whatever.
