Yeah, it's pretty weird understandably, but I remember loving it after her unconventional vocals really grew on me. I still put it in my top ten favorite Kendrick songs, but YMMV.
Whew, Below The Heavens, I heard this album way back in the Spring, but it really crept on me the last month or so.
Juicing Dranks is pretty meh, though. I blame Ta'Raach's wack ass verse.

This DJ played Kendrick and I got hype then he didn't come out lol. Future set was cool and GAF hop knows I don't care for his music. Dvsn sounded surprisingly good. Dunno low key expected a Bryson tiller esque performance (which was bad) with him but it was straight. Just happy he did songs pre NWTS. Wasn't expecting HYFR so that was prolly his best

Not really. I dug the idea, but something just felt missing in the album. I'm not saying the album is bad, but it just lacks something to justify its existence. There's no real standout track, sonically, and the project just doesn't take as many risks as I thought it would. I thought it'd be more like Banks playing his guitar and the RZA sampling it in unique ways, not just Banks plays guitar and RZA raps over it. It's a 6-6.5 for me, and I don't feel like revisiting it any time soon.

Easily the best Travis verse on the project to me.
I love his up and down flow, it actually makes me invested in his character/come up, is easy to self insert yourself in his place, has memorable grimy lines (to me) "like told my momma bitch get back in the door", and is the perfect short length.
I think it's easily one of my favorite songs about "the come up" of all time.
Of course I also don't like the rest of the project other than Pornography.

Lol it's funny seeing Mike Dean comment "this is how they wanted it mixed" literally everytime he works on a project.
Like I always wait for his defense and it's just getting funnier.
And honestly I can believe it, he's not a bad mixer on plenty of projects.
Nah, I don't hate them or anything, but the rest of the project didn't hit me like piss did.
I'm gonna relisten to Days and then Rodeo though so maybe that'll change.

Only tracks I really liked on Rodeo were Pornography, Oh My Dis Side (same issue with the beat switch), Night Crawler, Antidote, Pray 4 Love (the best atmosphere on Rodeo, hands down. The Weeknd's voice buried in those effects is something on another level.), Maria I'm Drunk (if only for the novelty of Biebs drop a dope verse), and Flying High. Everything else was just okay, but those songs above were the ones I really fucked with. Comparatively, BITTSM has like the first half of "the ends" and "through the late night."
It was ridiculous bro.
