Maybe we should all give our preferred time in EST and TheExodu5 groups us accordingly in the OP.CrunchyFrog said:idk, dont think everyone will fit in one game. should split up into groups/give a general login time?

Beware of these. They often re-sell the same key causing you to have to share your key with some random stranger. These keys are also often muted (they don't generally sell banned keys, but they sell keys that are or will become muted). I speak from experience.TheExodu5 said:I got mine of a site called mmo1st.com for $9.
They're not legitimate resellers, but the keys are legit and I haven't had any issues with mine.
The only legit DD seller would be Batte.net itself. I think Blizzard charges $30 for it, though.
Outside of summon, Necromancer is probably the most gear-dependant class. Poison and bone both do pathetic damage without good gear and even summon depends quite a bit on enigma. I would say that the only Necromancer spec capable of soloing hell untwinked is likely summon. You might get away with a summon/poison hybrid as well, but you would be substantially more invested in summon than you normally would be.Zzoram said:Sorceress and Necromancer are great PvE especially for new people without outside help because they are th least gear-dependent classes. The rest kind of need good weapons and charms or they're really weak.
I really want to join but I have to pass. I'm too busy right now.

Account name is CrunchyFrog09. It's been a while but I can't seem to find how you add friends in DII's B.net
I've played HCL on USEast for probably around eleven years now and I've never had a major problem with lag. Are you talking about graphical lag? If so, read into a glide wrapper. If you're talking about ping, the servers in general are certainly less stable than they once were but they're not too bad, and the only time that bad ping correlates with the death of a monster is when you kill Shenk.TheSeks said:Hardcore on US East is suicide on closed Battle.net unless they've finally killed the lag "storm"s that happen during boss fights. :|

Summon can do bosses fine with just skeletons. If you have access to cb monsters, revives can make pretty much any boss a joke.Zzoram said:Summon Necromancer is very good PvE and it's always nice to have one in the party. I guess it's a bit hard to kill some of the bosses with pure summons though. I don't know the current state of summons but I know that during some patches 20 Revives were strong enough to take on bosses.
Summon Necros also do well in Hardcore since they have so many meat shields to protect them even during lag.

TheSeks said:So, wait, this is a daily/weekly thing?
I wouldn't mind playing, but I'm afraid the "GAF clan" will die out within a week.
CB monsters are monsters with a high chance of crushing blow (urdar type monsters). Crushing blow deals damages in percentage as opposed to dealing a fixed number of damage. This is why CB revives make most bosses a joke, because it makes their health total irrelevant. 10 CBs can make short work of basically any boss; this is demonstrated in the Necromancer's efficacy at Übers.TheSeks said:Revives are extremely weak, as are the clay/blood/fire spirits now. There's a reason after 1.10 Necromancers have gone Skeleton +20 Mage +4 Revive +1, Clay +1 with +Skills, because the summons suck now in terms of damage. Summoners are nothing more than tanks now a days.
You need an account name. If all you have is a character name, type /whois charactername. You can also do this to yourself for some reason (/whoami).TheExodu5 said:Heh I did hardcore last year. Lost my windy to those Stigyan Dolls. (Hurricane up -> get surrounded by dolls -> they explode from the hurricane and kill you). Next character was a lightning sorc that made it to Hell. It's fun, but there's too much lag and quitting the game when you're in trouble is not all that fun. It's something you can definitely try at some point, but it's just crushing when you lose that character that you've worked 50 hours on.
Anyways, can anyone confirm that you need an account name, and not a character name to add someone to your friend's list?
Fugu said:That's confusing, seeing as the game represents account names with an asterisk and character names without one.
table, but the formatting is annoying.
