You never played the Pokemon games? I was clearly referencing "evolution" as if we're talking monsters leveling up (i.e America, America 2.0, Mega America 3).i think you mistake the word evolution with revolution, I don't understand what Pokemon has to do with anything or why you use that as an argument, and yes culture does evolve whether you like it or not, customs, arts, social institutions, all those things.
you didn't answer what's the raw sense of the word
No, the culture didn't evolve. How the country is governed, what languages are primarily spoken, what type of educational systems exist, have generally stayed the same.
Now maybe in 200 years from now, especially with a lot ongoing struggles and shifts going on, the culture will change. But then it wont be America anymore in the contemporary sense.
You can't achieve multiculturalism in perfect equilibrium. It only exists when there is set of agreements to prevent one from overtaking the other.you didn't answer what's the raw sense of the word
The government of Lebanon might be the only true story of multiculturalism. By law, Christianity and Islam are meant to have representation and doesn't reward total power to any group.
Otherwise, just by sheer birth rate or level of immigration, we go from different cultures to one group owning majority status in lets assume, a democratic republic.
People who moved onto Native territory did not actually inherit or become Native Americans. Once again, they are regarded as their own distinct tribe and their culture was not actually made American. And what does this have to do with anything?
Edit: There's only one exception. Mexico was born when Spain invaded the region, killed off the Native men, and the Conquistadors stayed behind and mated with all the Native women. But in essence, they created an entirely new ethnic group while leaving behind some traces of pre-colombian history.
Are you sure about that? They did occupy them for like 7 years. Clearly that was enough time to reverse the entire thousand year history that those people had laid down and practiced for centuries.Japan didn't turn into America,
But no, cultures don't work like that. America could technically occupy them today, I still would not expect mainland Japan and mainland USA to engage in the same activities unless you had Trump literally passing laws forcing Japanese people to stop studying in school or ban them from taking their shoes off when they go inside buildings.
