Given events happening in a part of the world right now, I’d like to hopefully create a place where those can say hey and ensure they are okay.

I’d rather not say the location as we all know where it is. Maybe this thread could be a place where a subtle communication channel can remain open.

I’ll start simply. If you are still in your country, I hope you are okay. Please stay safe and let us know any information you feel important for us to know.

I feel that so much more could have been done, but for years nothing was. And now here we are.

I understand a desire to seek meaning. For the sake of those being harmed, I think these opinions belong in another thread.

My goal is just to provide a lifeline so that if anyone can use this as an off-band channel for communication maybe Gaffers across the globe can help somehow.

It's not political to wish well on to those in Ukraine, it might give them hope to know the whole world is watching because it means more chance of someone doing something about it.

Poland here. Right now I see panic at gas stations (like Covid with toilet paper) but I doubt average Pole life will change much. Many more Ukrainians are going to Poland, that's for sure and there are tons of them here already, one in my work returned to Ukraine last week, poor timing...

Won't happen, nobody wants to risk all-out nuclear war and the end of humanity as we know it. And Putin is insane enough to do it. Or he might be, which is enough to not risk it.

Cause this is a public forum on the internet and people that need help from harm and people that wish to harm may see it. Without specific names maybe this is a line of communication there that would get overlooked.
