I'm about to hop in and I see 300+ seconds? Aw shit...
Yeah, it is. It goes like this:Is Hyper Hexagon the same as Hexagon at the 60 second mark, or is it a bit faster? I was trying to practice on Hyper Mode, but I feel like I've hit a wall and I'm not improving anymore. My reaction time is not getting any better, heh.
BTW, I found out about the challenge through Game Center. I opened GC to clear the notification badge and yet another annoying GC challenge, but then I saw the note included with it about the GAF challenge. So it at least got one person to join the competition.

yo Dash, My nickname is The hermit19.
Holy Shit 400s! my best is 200 on hexagon, I will try my best thoug.
Alright, thanks. I'll be happy if I could break 70 seconds at this point. Time for more Hyper Hexagon practice.Yeah, it is. It goes like this:
0-60: Hexagon
60-180: Hyper Hexagon
180-300: Hyper Hexagoner
300-360: Hyper Hexagonest
360+: That crazy black and white stage post-Hyper Hexagonest
Hexagon is basically an endurance run once you master each stage.
I kinda wish the game wouldn't alert you to a high score. "Hmm feels like I've been playing a while. NEWHIGHSCORdead! Aw crap. 1.5 seconds better."
its impressive how much better my score is without music... but its so good
Just played it on silent for the first time ever, and cracked my highest score by 15 seconds (74 seconds). It did feel easier without the sound, but I dig the music too much to leave it turned off.
i've come to the conclusion that getting a great score is just based on luck sometimes it just gives those easy patterns and even those relaxing breaks with the hexagon spirals. But then sometimes its all square -> pentagon -> square -> pentagon with the hellishly accurate patterns
FUCK you've beat me by 2 tenth of a second
I really gotta try a no sound run, but goddamn I'm in love with the soundtrack

Yep, that's it. A lot of the time I'm playing now I'm having conversations with other people. Eventually your brain will just react with minimal effort because you've trained it for so long.Nope. It's all about unconscious pattern learning IMO. All you have to do is play it a lot, and eventually you just play without thinking, even the thougher patterns will just fly by by itself after a while
Dude, you were so close to beating Hyper Hexagonest! Once you get over that hump it's just pure zen mode; no telling how much longer you'll make it because it doesn't change anymore.Think The_Darkest_Red has got a lock on first. I might have a 400 in me but that's probably my limit
I would have to beat my best regular hyper hexagonest time in the process to catch you though! Not impossible but very unlikely, I am so drained by that point lol. It's not so bad losing to a member of the all time top 10 (excluding obvious cheaters)!Dude, you were so close to beating Hyper Hexagonest! I'm so used to the music and voice that I'm more distracted without sound at this point.Just played it on silent for the first time ever, and cracked my highest score by 15 seconds (74 seconds). It did feel easier without the sound, but I dig the music too much to leave it turned off.
Very nice, man.I never thought I'd see this happen:
Gonna try and break 100 a couple of more times before calling it a day. Damn, still locked on 97-99 secs all the time.
Thanks for making me pick up this game again, Dash!
Insanely stubborn, yes.EDIT: I am wrong! Actually its just 360s. Jesus TDR is insane!
78.48!
I think it's a testament to Terry's creation that I've spent every spare moment playing this today, just to improve my score by 3 and a bit seconds. It was totally worth it.
If I can finish inside the top 25, I'll be a happy bunny.
Edit: Damn you Dash! Where'd you pull an 82 from?!
EditEdit: 80.52. I'm coming for you.
OMFG I just broke 100! My previous score was 86!
This is how it's looking right at the bottom at the *moment*
Battle it out guys and BIG PROPS to each and everyone of you who decided to stick it anyway!!
It's much, much appreciated by the whole community! Retiring is super LAAAAAME.
Anyway, here's the bottom 20, 6 players retired (ugh!):
I don't have an iDevice, but thanks to this topic I found the joy that is Super Hexagon. Thanks boys.
