Game Developers celebrating assassination of Charlie Kirk [Update] Sucker Punch Dev Fired, and SP issue statement

Are these out of context? They look like complete sentences to me. I know America has bad reading comprehension rates so it's ok if you're having trouble.
Again, all your examples- which you can NOT like his opinions - are attacks on the current social, political and cultural systems the LEFT has propagated: DEI, Sex/Gender first hiring, the OBVIOUS affirmative action processes et al.

Remember when we had good ol' Joey B say he's choosing his VP based on genitalia and skin color? That type of decision making has been FRONT AND CENTER in our society for the last 15 years and it's constituted an anti-white sentiment and created a battlefield where people like Kirk spoke up, again fairly mundanly.

You can go find many conservative black commentators who say all the things Charlie did. Brandon Tatum. Candace Owens. Jason Whittrock.

Does that change anything? If opinions can't be held and discussions on these topics can't be had just because Kirk was white and called out these scenarios…maybe you need to re examine your idea of racism

"If we would have said three weeks ago […] that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative-action picks, we would have been called racist. But now they're coming out and they're saying it for us! They're coming out and they're saying, "I'm only here because of affirmative action."

Yeah, we know. You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person's slot to go be taken somewhat seriously."

That's the full quote without the context.
The context is DEI so who else would they be taken the place of accept white people because it's only white people they turn down those situations.
And he directing the insult to the people he named, but you taken it as reference to all black people.
And that's how it's been framed and believed by the gullible.
The parts you miss is when he says they don't need affirmative action, people with the drive and will ( like Morgan Freeman said) can do it.

It's right there, but whatever you say.

Context matters:

That was their argument not his, they said that they wouldn't have gotten their spot without affirmative action. well he did agree that those specific people did not have the brain processing power to be taken seriously.

What needs to be explained about those quotes? Theyre statements. Keep trying, though.
Well the first one is the context of Britney griner getting a prisoner swap with a notorious arms dealer to spring her from a Russian prison on drugs charges. Meanwhile a former US Marine was also held in Russian and given no attention at the time.

You know, it's possible to talk shit about someone like Charlie Kirk and not be on the left or right. You don't have to pick a side in order to criticize something.

I got into Harvard only because of affirmative action.

I went to a school no one had ever heard of in Denver, Colorado, in a small suburb. I didn't go to a prestigious high school like Exeter or Andover. I didn't have college test prep. I just happened to be really nerdy and smart and have really good grades and good SAT scores.

But someone came to Denver to look for me. A Harvard recruiter flew in, met me at a restaurant, and did a pre-interview to pull me into Harvard. I was pulled in — affirmatively.

Quick, somebody tell my daughter!

I'm sure it is - I'm giving you context for Charlie Kirk's viewpoints as someone who was an avid listener. I didn't agree with him on everything either.

And you know what else, you don't have to be on the right or left to realize a person who held opinions you didn't like doesn't deserve to have his death celebrated or have chucklefucks in video game forums making tacit acknowledgements that he deserved it or that he deserves to be denigrated after being assassinated.

I'm sure you'll be contrary, but imagine if someone you aligned with political and socially had their life taken and you saw people in your hobbie's industry celebrating his death, you'd probably wish they wouldn't. You'd probably wish they had the humanity, even if they said that person had none, to be the bigger person and respect their death.

What a lot of people refuse to believe is what Charlie said multiple times yet they ignore. He had issues with minorities getting jobs due to affirmative action. He had no issue with and supports minorities getting a job over a white person if they were more qualified for the job

The funny thing about my link above was it was so public, I even saw a clip of her saying it on TV.

It's not like it's some obscure quote buried in a website blog and twisted knowing hardly anyone would notice the original post by Reid.

They call it premarital sex for a reason.

Either way, keep telling yourself non-whites getting more treats than white people is ruining society or whatever you guys are on about. I'm off to finish Cronos.

This just demonstrates the problem with discussing race or gender related issues with the left. You can't highlight how certain policies have failed minorities while using statistics that back it up without being rejected and ignored as a "racist."

You can't go about solving issues without first recognizing these issues, but they refuse to ever recognize.

You present a losing argument, get called out and proven wrong, then just talking nonsense. Quality content.

Edit: you do know you can respond to multiple posts in a single post, right? Nobody needs you posting 4 times in a row again.

No one's remotely even come close to saying that and you know it, you're just an intellectually lazy miscreant with a shallow world view and a dim intellect.

Those rocks are calling for your kicks my friend, don't leave em hangin.

P.S., been married for fifteen years, couldn't be happier. My daughter's my best friend, and I'm working on my third degree right now, all paid for by my time in the Army.

How's your life goin there champ?

So what? That's how that kind of shit works - if anything Harvard is at fault for that one. A lot of prestigious schools have internal metrics that they want to meet in order to keep criticis quiet.

Joy Reid sucks, too. I'm just saying it's another case of problematic institutions, not the people they're poaching.

It's not my fault you don't understand sarcasm or humor. What was the losing argument? All I said was that Charlie Kirk sucked and had shitty viewpoints and shared some quotes that enforced that. What is there to be proven wrong about?

I think this thread and the whole developers comments have exposed a much bigger factor when it comes to gaming.

Almost nobody can deny that Game Quality has dropped in recent years. Then we see who are developing these games and make a direct connection.

These Publishing companies are full of developers with Pink/Purple/Green/Blue haired people with Septum rings. That tells me that they have fully bought into that kind of ideology. With that said, there is little doubt that ideology will spill over and influence their work. Hence why we keep seeing consistent bad/broken releases with characters most of us hate.
This has been obvious for years.... its nice to have clear confirmation.

People will still deny though...

Yeah, these are definitely the words of a humanitarian.
If reasonable people aren't willing to take immigration into their own hands, do it in levels and in a way that makes sense or you end up with the situation you are in.

Now, what he seemed to want was that existing immigration law be respected, it only makes sense, I don't see the problem.

When the cleanup is done, get it going in a way that makes sense for the existing population.

Wait so you think black people are biologically inferior? Damn guys powder powder was just trolling us the whole time.

All you have to say is you were an avid listener and we can wrap this up. I do not fuck with anything he said or stood for, holistically. There's no sense arguing about it.

Because I was an avid listener, my viewpoint also means nothing.

Shows your true colors.

You aren't discussing anything here in good faith.

I mean, the rest of the forum has been easily handing you your ass cheeks over your viewpoints - your attempted smears -

You've basically resorted to ad hominems at this point

I'm sure you're strutting around your house like you've won some great debate against a bunch of us retards on Neogaf though. 😆

And not just quality. The games take longer to make and huge budgets. So 0 for 3.

At least if things take a long time to design and are expensive, at least be top notch quality so it all goes hand in hand.

There's likely some truth to those old videos showing modern day tech companies are filled with people who just waltz in and waste time in the cafeteria or doing Starbucks runs. They probably do hardly any work stretching out projects by years and millions of dollars because they spend more time thinking about ping pong or knitting classes after lunch. Or being amped up for tonight's cooking lessons where the menu on tap is pasta primavera.

No wonder so many tech companies and gaming studios have dumped down the drain lately. It's like that Deviation Games studio. Their home page had nothing to do with video games. The first thing you see is games..... but a bunch of people playing tug of war and wearing 3D glasses at a movie theatre. Ya that's productive work there guys. Sounds like a frat party, not a business.

I dont get a sense guys working on an oil rig are like..... hold on folks. I'll get back to work later. A bunch of us have to get back to shore. There's a beach volleyball tournament after work and we got to leave early.
All that is happening in the western industry today is about this, quality , time, costs everything... and I dont really see a way back ... its a "Im going down with the ship doubling down situation"

It's not my fault you don't understand sarcasm or humor. What was the losing argument? All I said was that Charlie Kirk sucked and had shitty viewpoints and shared some quotes that enforced that. What is there to be proven wrong about?
Amazing how short term your memory is.
Who is smearing and lying about Kirk? Because they call him racist and the like? Did he not say say black people are biologically inferior?

SgoEX56p8fO4zhvJ.jpg

Let's see how this can be spun into something positive.
Again as many people have brought up, whether or not any of these Kirk quotes are true or not why does it really matter?

Are you saying the guy deserved to be shot and killed on stage for have right wing political views?

If your answer is no, then why do you care if some of these quotes are truly from him?

Are these out of context? They look like complete sentences to me. I know America has bad reading comprehension rates so it's ok if you're having trouble.

Context doesn't mean a singular sentence. If I gave you a single sentence out of one whole chapter of a book, you wouldn't be able to properly/adequately explain what that chapter was about, let alone the book.
