For a second I didnt know what was wrong with that Bethesda pic until I noticed that tiny font subtitle at the bottom. Pretty horrendous.

Isnt it amazing how much gaming and media kinds on companies are so political while just about every other industry doesnt get involved with hot topics making fun? It's truly mind blowing.

It's bad enough the industry would get jabbed with a hot poker about violence in games or inappropriate pervy games. Then it extends to political hot takes. And gaming workers wonder why people think they're weird and immature.

What I mean is that politicians must start doing something to solve the problem. The first thing is to recognize that there is a problem. As a shock therapy, the grave dancers must face harsh consequences, but that's not enough. The twitter mob actions are only useful to let the other side know that they will face serious opposition. Media, social platforms and political parties need to agree on a set of rules for everyone to adhere. That's "all means necessary" and it will take a lot of resources and a massive pedagogic work, which the global Right has been avoiding for two decades.

That's because he is very good at passing. Has the best voice for sure. Trans people that can do that don't need to be preachy 'cause they get the treatment they want. It's the bearded dude with a beer gut, pink/purple/blue pigtails, and wearing a hello kitty miniskirt trying to get into womens bathrooms that gotta be loud about it.
 
As I said before, do what you want supporting a company. If there was a hot Bethesda game coming out, I'd still play it on GP. But for those of you with more strict convictions about supporting a game studio based off politics or any other non-gaming related message, no worries. Just do it and teach these companies a lesson.

And if you feel one person or a couple bad apples is enough to turn you off and spend your money elsewhere, just do it and dont listen to any brown nosers saying you cant do that and should still buy the game no matter what. Those people are just day one gamers who will feel like shit their hyped up game just had sales go down 20%.

It's your money and choice. Do as you want.

I agree. If folks don't want to get involved in politics and just want to play games then that's their choice. I would much rather it be that way myself. For those who feel this is too much to ignore and they decide to use the only real devices they have, their voice and their money, then that their choice.

I would suggest those who don't want to get wrapped up in all this just put the thread on ignore.

Can't say I'm surprised there are folks at Bethesda who are happy about the assassination. But I am shocked that they'd post this on their official account, 4 days after the incident. Really makes me wonder what the culture is like inside their bubble if they thought this was an OK thing to post.

Of course not everyone is a political hothead, but it sure seems like it's more and more as some people thought. As you said, when the company's Twitter handler gets it on it, you know there's trouble.

Its not at all a coincidence that industry who deals making visual products for kids (movies and games) are this way... its very very orchestrated

Nope. But they did issue out a general statement saying something like they are looking into it as some employees were stating inappropriate things. someone posted a pic of it days ago.

Bethesda is Scrubbing their social media post. Where people had replied with proof of what the PR person did. All post after SEP 10 are gone. And the last post they have is Sep 5.

They are scrubbing hard.
 
don't forget their promo campaign around Wolfenstein 2 back in 2017 was a tacit endorsement of punching Nazi's IE right-wingers/trumpies.

im not trying to get political but right now people need to shut their mouths for 1 minute go look into the mirror and think about what it means to be an American. Free speech life liberty and the pursuit of happiness and if what you say or do dosnt promote that or work to that goal then you should reevaluate your life.
