I doubt that both of them will be around for the entirety of the show's run. Do you want them to stay alive for the whole thing?
I don't want anything specific of them. I just want to watch the show play out and enjoy. That was my point.

Oh, another cool moment in the episode was Littlefinger casually confirming that he recognized Arya. Last season when he met with Tywin, they made the audience ask, "Did he? Hmm... he definitely feels something's up. Eh." Dude is a serious information trader.

Theon wanted to stay in Winterfell to show his father that he did good by seizing it. The group of men from Pyke that were under Theon's command said fuck it, knocked Theon unconscious (probably to bring him back to Pyke), torched/looted the city and left, supposedly taking Theon with them.

The Northman that were going to take the city back (that dude's bastard Son army) didn't show up yet. Nobody knows they're coming.

They fleed because the enemies could come back (people don't know what's going on) and they went to the Wall because the Wall is quite near Winterfell, while Rob is near Harrenhall, which is near Kingslanding and hella far com Winterfell. Like, weeks far.

This isn't right. The force that was sent to retake Winterfell was certainly there - Theon wanted to fight them while his men did not. What exactly happened there is up in the air right now.

Sorry, it's been a while. You're right, Theon was pumping them up with a speech and they said fuck it, let's leave.

I don't remember if the forces were actually already there or arriving soon.

The forces were already there, knocking at Winterfell's door. That was one of my favorite scenes of last season, with Theon complaining about that "fucking hornblower" every chance he got. Comedic gold.

EDIT: The complete sequence. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5eyJin4R18

But the meister was saying that there were 500 north men surrounding them and the on only had 20 men. Not to mention the on getting annoyed by the man constantly on the horn.

So again doesn't seem to make sense that bran would run

Bran ran because Winterfell had been burned and all the people inside it slaughtered. The northmen and the iron islanders were all gone by the time they came up from the crypt, and it was Maester Luwin who told them to head up to the Wall.

The men from Pyke probably burned the city/killed a bunch of people to create a distraction and flee from the 500 northmen.

Maester Luwin was the first one that was spiked after Theon was knocked out and he just went to the Big Tree and bled until Bran and his posse showed up.

It's safe to say that Maester Luwin had no idea wtf was going on after he was stabbed through the gut with a lance (I know I wouldn't care) and just told Bran to take the hide in safety. Afterall, after the 500 Northman leave (since they didn't find any enemies), Winterfell wouldn't be able to be much secure after it was in ruins.

I was under the impression that the Northmen killed everyone inside Winterfell. Which might explain why Bran and his group were hiding from them

Why would the Northmen kill everyone in Winterfell and burn the castle? They were outside the gates challenging Theon and his men and the Iron Islanders knocked Theon out and took him back while probably looting and taking everything they could and burning the castle down.

We don't know why. We haven't even seen any hostility / backstabbing thoughts towards Robb. Hell we never even saw the Northern army nor the bastard son who's commanding it. It would be a sudden twist and it could well be that the Northern army just moved on after they saw that everyone is dead.

Still, the whole event played out very strange IMO. How did the men from pyke sneak out? Why would the Northern army just stand by and watch them kill&burn everyone? Why didn't the Northern army inform Robb by now? Why would they just leave Winterfell in ruins, no burials for their fellow civilians, nothing?

I also found that very strange. I didn't mention it, because I have no theory to what would have happened.

I mean, it is the bastard's son of that dude, right? Bastards are hated everywhere, so maybe he just wanted to do what Theon did: stick it up to his father.

Would be a crazy turn of events

New episode tonight: Dark Wings, Dark Words

Synopsis said:
Sansa says too much. Shae asks Tyrion for a favor. Jaime finds a way to pass the time. Arya runs into the Brotherhood Without Banners.

Are you fucking kidding me? My sister in law just spoiled for me a character's fate all the way to the end of book five. The weird thing is that last year I was spoiled about this character again. I guess the universe does not want me to worry about them.

My friend casually spoiled a characters death from season 1 for me last year. We were talking about the show and out of nowhere he says "oh yeah that guy dies." I'm like WTF why would you do that are you insane? "Uhhh it was obvious anyway." REALLY? Tell me HOW????? Some people just have no sense. But luckily for me i thought he ment a different character. Cause someone else dies too. And i thought that was who he had ment. So when the actual character died it was still shocking to me cause i wasn't expecting him.

Oh, do yourself a favor a stay away from the GoT wiki or anything related to the books online. I was spoiled something about a MAJOR character. I don't even want to say what it is. My fucking heart sank when i read it. I fucked up bad. Whatever. I can still enjoy the show. Sometimes i forget actually. I didn't even remember until i was telling you this story.

How many books are there? I want to know how long the shows going to last.

I don't see that much (or any) incest outside of Jamie and Cersei's relationship.

5 books at the moment. 2 more in the pipeline.

More like sadistic Joffrey comes out around her lol.

Edit: we can discuss things after they air on the east coast right?

Yes.

That said a pretty interesting episode there.

Poor Sansa, she had that all bottled up for so long but maan Margaery she's so conniving! She used that info to now get even more on Joffrey's side.

Does Rickon ever say more than 5 words in any episode? :lol

Also unfair how much bad luck Arya gets, about to leave hell no here comes the Hound. :(

Theon is back but who grabbed him exactly? Who are those people?

And lastly, no nudity. Must be the kids commentary episode.

Well he was taken by his own people last season, so they're Iron Island people I presume.

I need more after that. Wish the show could be longer than an hour every week.

Not sure I would say poor Sansa... I mean, Sansa is stupid as can be, but it works out in her favor if Joffrey goes for Margaery.

Nope

This confused me... why is he a dick to Arya when he loves her sister?

I have to assume these are Greyjoy people. Not like Theon is well-liked there. Last we saw he was being dragged off by them, so...

How was that already and hour? I need more Tyrion. How could they waste the one scene we got with him on a Shae scene.
