Putting aside the... unpleasantness, the other parts of the episode were pretty awesome too. Bran can control people now, that's pretty neat.

And the Yunkai fight scene was awesome.

Btw fuck the book readers that come in here and keep mentioning the Red Wedding ... Now we know what to expect. Shit like that is really annoying

Yeah, so many little hints and "oops I said a name that you didn't know yet, oh well get over it."

It just never ends. I'm half expecting someone to "accidentally" spoil the name of Theon's torturer soon and ruin that plot as well.

Meanwhile, some really good acting with just the eyes and body language in this episode:

And a Jon for good measure:

Just watched this after coming back from work, and I honestly have no words. I should get up and make myself some food or something, but I'm quite honestly dumbfounded. I think I'll have a smoke first.

Holy shit.

The RW does allow you guys to finally root for good characters like Jaime or Stannis

But no, everybody will hop on the stupid Dany bandwagon because of muh dragonz

That was incredible. I had thought it was odd that Frey would side with the Starks so easily after the previous arrangement had been broken but I wasn't expecting that and I certainly wasn't expecting one of the named people to die so soon. Absolutely incredible. I guess it's only a matter of time for the Greyjoy and Joffrey now.

EDIT: Also, I must say, the wife's reveal was very well done. It truly emphasised just how much Robb had spat in the face of Walder Frey by breaking off the wedding.

I lost it on this part hahahaha, that daughter is hotter than Stark's wife..sneaky old bastard.

Now think back on it after you know what he was REALLY thinking.

You're supposed to think it's Frey gloating a bit over Robb's loss of a hot daughter.

Robb, internally: "Oh well, Robb, you lose this one."

Instead, Frey is actually playing Robb for a fool the whole time and is really thinking "You are a dead man and you don't even know it, look at how you think I'm looking at my daughter."

Frey's will hav to kill Blackfish and Edmure too rite?

I'm wondering what they'll do if they get back to Riverrun. House Tully seems in dire shape as well with Catelyn's death, House Stark being nearly eradicated, and the Freys ditching them. I'm curious if their other vassals will remain with them.

Lost in all of this is the fact that dumbass Jon Snow left when his brothers Direwolves were right there, and only whats his face and his girlfriend remained. Maybe there were more wildlings left and he's trying to lead them away from his brothers, that's the only thing that makes sense in my mind.

There were 7 horses and about 20 wildlings. So yes there were more but nowhere near where the horseman were. Jon fucked up by leaving Ygritte like that even after she backed his decisions so many times before that.

He pulled a Sam.

Holy shit...

But it did got me thinking. The weak meat of the Starks has been killed now. I mean the rest of em, Arya, Bran, Rickon and Sansa all went to traumatizing experiences that will probably result in them trusting almost noone ever. With Tyrion as her husband Sansa will eventually get a child and you can count on that child to not get a innoncent childhood the way she had gotten in Winterfell. Arya with the hound will get her eyes opened properly and might even be trained by him, he even said something along the lines of 'you are to kind, that will get you killed someday' so she'll get some sort of vengeance after some proper training by the hound. Well Bran seems to be some sort of messiah, and probably the most powerful warg out there. And Rickon is going to that clan and Osha allready commented that that clan has some of the finest warriors so he'll probably be trained and become a badass. So in short with Robb and his mother dying the Starks actually have a chance in the future since they will never be so naive as Robb has been this season.

Rewatch it closely--he pushes Ygritte down and she gets immediately tackled by the big bearded guy (Thorin Giantslayer or something?). She stays out of the fight, because knowing her, she'd have killed a bunch of Wildlings and then died.

Jon's not a coward. He's not the smartest, but he's also quick thinking at times and he wanted her out of the line of fire so he could escape. If he wanted her dead, he could have let her fall on the wall.

No, he did what a stupid, honorable Stark would. Get his lover out of danger and try and stop the fighting, even if it makes him look like a cowardly traitor.

Tormund Giantsbane

FUUUUUUUUUUUU
Just finished watching it. Like..... man.

I thought Robb would get betrayed since Stannis said his name in that fire, but then that reveal of the hot bride and you go "Ohhhh! You almost got me GoT. They're going to get on after all and smash Castery Rock and shit!" And then all of a sudden it's like loljk, DAGGER IN THE UTERUS BITCH.

So many feels right now.
We're going to name him Ned!
2 minutes later
*Dying Robb putting his hand on his pregnant wife's dead and bloody body*
And then in like 20 seconds it's bam Robb's dead bam wife's dead bam Mum's dead.

They even kill his goddamn dog! And they tease like "ooh maybe Arya's going to free him and he can at least fuck some shit up in revenge" but nope, cold dead eyes staring back at her from under the door.

Whelp, see you guy's next week
Roll credits

I need to go ly dow...

They'll probably give it to Bolton. Edmure was the heir. And Lady Arryn is marrying Littlefinger. And before her would be the Uncle Blackfish.

I'm thinking Edmure is going to wake up after a night of great sex, to see his sisters head, his nephews head and the heads of the Northern bannermen flying high above the bridge on spikes.

What vassals even remain? The Karstarks left, the Boltons will probably be given the Winterfell lands and possibly Riverrun?, I think I heard the Umbers are left? Possibly the Reed family helping Bran. I don't even know who's left.

I rewatched the scene again, Talisa even talks to the guy who knifes her and he says the band cost them a fortune etc. So many little things.

Though I think the Hound is a good guy. He could have easily given up Arya to have her killed for money/gold etc. But he saved her.

the Brann subplot is kind of awkward (on TV, at least), the kid playing Rickon is terrible. Walter Frey is amazing, he steals the scene every time he's on the screen

can anyone gif the part where Jon Snow is comically fighting an eagle prop?

lmao yo that scene looked like it was straight out of a comedy film (in fact i swear i've seen something like it before)

"Stark" in Westeros should become a pejorative akin to Kingslayer.

"Did you hear about Lord Carlton deciding to attack Lord Banks' northern encampment before supplying horses for his men?"

"A real Stark, that one."

My friends and I have been saying things like, "He got Starked" for a while now.

The hound is basically a mercenary now, so he'll do anything when he's paid. He also seems to have a bit of pity for the Stark girls, probably because they've been so traumatized as children, something that is close to him.

So he's not really good so much as neutral with a small soft spot. I'm sure he'd kill Arya if he had to, but she still has some value (heir of Winterfell).

What? Rickon's actor had like 3 lines, and he's a 5 year old kid. What were you expecting?

Probably the most shocking thing Ive seen on TV ever.
I got very suspicious when everyone was laughing and having fun at the wedding dinner. I thought to myself "people arent allowed this level of happiness in GoT" and we know what happened from there.
Im now quite interested in Jorah and the jealousy he may feel towards Danny's new pretty boy boyfriend.

also, lol...

I don't think giving over the North will be as easy as it seems.

Only Lord Bolton and Lord Frey look to benefit from the Lannisters.

The Tullys are fucked. They'll hold Edmure hostage to keep their loyalty.

Would be a good time for Littlefinger to move in with his gold and "save" the North by taking it back from the Lannisters.

I wonder if the head of their family was with Robb at the wedding or not, we never really saw him next to his side did we? That seems like the only safe haven left in the North for the Starks, unless they're setting Rickon up to be brutally murdered next.

Mormonts (Jorah's family) Manderlys, Hornwoods, Umbers, Dustins, Rysells, Reeds, Norreys, Lockes, Flints, Tallharts, Cerwyns, Glovers and Wulls.

(Dw about them tho cos the show creators don't seem to.)

How many dire wolves did/do the Starks have?

Six originally. One for each Stark child including Jon.

Sansa's and Robb's have been killed. Jon's is running around beyond The Wall somewhere, haven't seen Arya's since S1, but Bran & Ricon still have theirs.

oh, I honestly thought he was a bit older, heh

also, best part of the episode was the music they played right before the attack. And the actor playing Bolton was great as well. I'd like to see him play a bigger role in the next season

Tyrion married Sansa so the Lannisters would claim the north when Robb died

It occurs to me that Tyrion has a chance to really pull things together here.

-Robb is dead, and so are Bran and Rickon, officially.
-Sansa, or whoever Sansa marries, is the lord of Winterfell.
-Now Tyrion could pull the North back together, get the word out that the Stark children will be safe under his ward. Also, get Theon out for good measure.
-"As Lord of Winterfell, I promise I will honor your former Lord's name. Now let's put out that damn fire that's been burning all season."
-White Walkers come
-"START THE FIRE AGAIN!!!"

And then the White Walkers come

Woke up this morning and I'm still in shock. What the fuck, GRRM!? Goddamn homie. That was some twisted shit.

Need to fast forward to next Sunday already and see what else is gonna pop off.
