If a variant of this is not used during a surprise exclusive reveal at E3 over on the gaming side, I will be very disappointed.

Put Kaz's face and Mattrick's face in it, and you've got gold.

Putting Kaz/Mattrick's face on it wouldn't help. The moment is lost without the actor's expressions, lol.

Michelle Fairey sold the shit out of that scene. Even in stills Catelyn's anguish is obvious.

It will be a travesty if she doesn't win an Emmy for that performance

Eh, even wiki knowledge gives away stuff, you know? Can you be sure when it's info that should be shared, like what you said about how the kids die? That's not something we want to know. I apologize for assuming you were a book reader but you have to admit that people just can't stop doing it.

Once again, huh? When did I say the kids die? I think you confused my post. I said that no matter what happens in the books, whether in the released ones or the unreleased ones, I don't think HBO would allow 2 main characters who are kids to die on TV, especially in the brutal ways Robb, Catelyn, and Ned were done in. It's my theory.

I understand the sensitivity after what book readers did in this thread yesterday, but I need somewhere I can post also without having things ruined for me. I decided after yesterday that I would not have anything further spoiled for me.

Oh my god, they managed to top Ned Stark... What the hell, HBO? What... the... hell... I shouted at the same time as Catelyn.
I should have known it was bound to happen when Robb's wife brought up the name Eddard.

What the hell?

What would you have done in that situation?

Your son, your FUCKING KING, has just been basically murdered, you are the last one standing, you know you're fucked.

I wouldn't be thinking rationally, all I would care about is my son's and my own safety.

Cat saw the entire Stark war-force destroyed in a matter of seconds.

Her last thoughts before death must have been harrowing to say the least.

Is the bolded true, they brought their whole army over there? or just a small group of soldiers + Robb.

I'm guessing the other lords that were his banner men are gonna disband and their army will be nothing.

Ok, fair enough. Though the show has no compunctions about killing children, remember that. They literally had an unborn child stabbed in the womb just now. And Bran's survival was still very up in the air at the start, especially as he wasn't REALLY a main character yet so him dying wouldn't have changed too much in the current story.

I dunno if you think Gendry is a child (17 ish?) but he got lucky he wasn't killed, but having blood bitten out of his penis sounds almost as bad.

Remember when Lord Bolton said "it dulls the senses" when Catelyn asked why he doesn't drink alcohol? I remember hearing that line before, when was it and by whom?

Dude! You literally just book spoiled MORE character fates! Even if you don't name names, anyone with 30 seconds of processing time will be able to go through the list.

I...just...wow. I guess it really is impossible for bookreaders to simply not comment, even with ban threats.

You win. I give up.

I remember your post from weeks ago poking fun at book readers saying Robb will die.

Hmmmm... ;)

Can we just ban the word "book" from this thread... like have it turn into **** and anytime someone tries to post it the post doesn't go through. Holy fuck

Pretty sure it was Bolton as well when he was talking to Jaime and Brienne.

To which Jaime said something like "You do realise how suspicious that looks?"

Since when was GoT afraid of killing kids?

One of the king's guard killed a baby, and it was barely offscreen. Not to mention loads of others of Robert's bastards.

Then Karstark killed two Lannister kids onscreen.

Arya killed that one kid back in S1.

Again offscreen but another baby gets taken away by a White Walker, presumably to kill and zombify?

They might not get as graphic deaths as the ones we just saw but from what I've seen I definitely don't expect Bran, Rickon and Arya to have the usual "Kid Immunity" you see in television shows. In the very first episode they ended it with it looking like Bran had been killed.

But Grey Worm fighting with the spear/shield was so badass. How he went back to his defensive posture after every strike so so good.

I read a Youtube comment the other day saying "THE ROOSE IS LOOSE." He was man. HE WAS.

As horrific as that scene was... I kind of hope we get some good E3 gifs out of it.

Also Jon had a pretty epic one liner when he killed Gareth from The Office. He has definitely been more forceful and bold this season, which is good since he was kind of whiny before. I like how his character has developed. Well, I guess you have to like him now since he is the hottest living guy on the show.

Robb, you failed the North. You're not a wolf, but a mangy dog masquerading as a wolf. All you had to do was tie the knot with that old cunt's daughter, and he would have likely awarded you that hottie. But in the end, you got pussy-whooped by a horse-faced nurse and turned on your word which gave the Lannisters all the leverage they needed to orchestrate a deal with the old cunt. Hell, I could have struck a deal with him after all your mishaps, simply by writing a letter that starts off with "If this would-be king can so easily turn his back on his oath to you now, what of in your future dealings with him? Come join us and I'll promise you this and that, and as it is well known -- a Lannister always pays his debts....*wink*"

I'm so mad right now. I have no side to root for.

Now that it's the day after, I think what upset me more than anything is the Starks no longer have a military presence and now I feel like I'm going to be subjected to watching the life and times of the Lannisters, Stannis and the witch and the Dragon Army conquest tour. I understand that Arya and Bran likely become bigger players and do some compelling things on a smaller, not brute force level. But people, important people, need to die on the other fronts.

They've done some pretty ace stuff getting Kaz's lower face and so forth into some GIFs. But, yeah. It's mostly the people who know the scene who will get it. :)

Agreed. I don't know if I even want to watch this show anymore.

The Lannisters have, at least, some of the best actors. Hell, I would watch season after season of the Tywin and Tyrion Variety Hour! if that's what it came to.

Well it's not like the entire north is dead. They could always be re-united under someone like Bran or Jon (Arya doesn't come off as a leader). Start with more guerilla warfare tactics as someone (I think Cersei or Tyrion) mentioned that the North is too vast to be ruled by a southerner?

I will continue to watch in the hope Bran or Jon unites the North and wipes every one in the South out.

Okay, help me out here. I dont know the logistics and alliances of everyone.

Is there any chance that someone (maybe the guy who went to take a piss) can stand up and take over and lead any other houses that had alliance with the Stark's and can fight in their name?

Or is this the end of the Starks and their friends and lets just focus on Dany, Lannisters, Wildlings, and Stannis?

Agreed. I don't know if I even want to watch this show anymore.

The show is about how sometimes good people lose, sometimes bad people lose. And that there's no real good or bad.

That's on the surface.

Underneath, it has themes that the smallest person in the right place can make all the difference, for good or bad. Useless Sam managed to find the White Walker weakness by sheer luck. Bran, who has spent the series as a cripple, may have just found the most powerful ability in the series and could change the world.

On the flip side, King Rob Baratheon died by, well, a random boar...and by being drunk by his little squire.

Little people can change the world.

Meanwhile, Danaerys, who started off as a slave/rape victim, has slowly gained followers.

Don't think of it as a good/bad story. Think of it as a story of who can make a difference by being in the right place.

I feel like part of the "bargaining" stage is developing this anger towards the victim, regardless of how you felt about them before. You see it with book readers and both Ned and Robb, and now I'm starting to see it in the show watchers. Basically:

"Well, those guys were pathetic idiots who were bound to die at some point anyways."

While that may be true in some sense, I do feel those blaming it on Robb for marrying Talisa are overlooking another sin: Walder Frey's. I've been over this point before with others, but I feel it bears repeating. Robb was Frey's liege lord. He owed him nothing- that whole marriage deal? That's kind of out of bounds to begin with as Robb had every right, going by oaths if Walder wants to use oaths as some sort of moral high ground like he did when gloating to Robb, to demand whatever he wanted for the war effort. More than seeing Frey get some sort of physical justice, what I really want to see is someone call him out on his bullshit and leave him without his moral high ground. It's almost more infuriating to me that he sees himself in the right than it is that he betrayed Robb and Catelyn.

Maybe Bran will be powerful enough to control dragons. If he lives, that is. Who needs legs when you're constantly riding a dragon? A dragon that launches direwolves at you! With bees in its mouth! Fire bees! Long live DragonStarks!

The first Stark was named Bran the Builder, that can't be a coincidence.

All of my hope is in him to fuck the Lannisters and Freys up in the end.

Can someone tell me why Jon rode off and left his woman back there? That seemed totally unlike him to abandon her like that.

Duty above all? I mean he stayed at Castle Black after his father was killed.

After that episode where Melisandra said something about Arya's eyes. I hope she comes back as a ruthless Assassin and kills all the Lannisters (sans Tyrion).
