You can watch it on whatever you want to.

But you have to sign up for it through the HBO Now APP, through Android, iOS, Amazon, etc...

It sets up the free trial and subscription based on one of those accounts "Google Play, iTunes, Amazon, etc..."

But after you sign up, you can open up https://www.hbonow.com/ on any web browser device you want and you just log in using the email/pass you created for the service. (Or just use the app on your phones/tablets/whatever)

Except for PS4 because of a "console exclusive" contract Microsoft apparently signed with HBO.

They aim for being simultaneous w/ the TV broadcast but really it is a few minutes early on Now/Go. For GoT, that is 9 eastern

Thanks!

ok

It's simple, Tommen is a weak, baby king who is too afraid to do anything, and Cersei thought she was controlling them until it was too late for her. And it was mostly her who've let them to all the crap they did, i think she even armed them.
I suspect this season is going to be an all out war between the Lannisters and the Faith, and with the poor Tyrells caught between them.

They had the support of the people, Tommen was weak, and Cersei fancied herself the Queen and thought she was controlling them.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens from here though, now that Cersei will want her revenge and the Tyrell-Lannister alliance should be over. Arya killing the pedo Meryn Trant should open things up for the Tyrells too (I am assuming he was in Braavos to deal w/ Mace Tyrell)

Cersei wanted control as she felt weak now that her son was king and he had a wife that he was happy with. She forgot that by arming a religious militant group you are risking the chance of them turning on you because of all the dark secrets you hold as king or queen.

its funny as evil as the Cersei is and she of course desereved it.. i did feel bad/weird when they made her do the nude walk.. i cant wait for her to kill them all lol

Cersei seen through Margery the first moment she seen her. She seen her as someone who wanted to use her son to gain power. She was right. Not to mention she never forgot the prophecy that witch in the forest told her about an "younger prettier queen will take all you have." Cersei scheme backfired when she released Westeros version of Isis (The Faith Militants) on King's Landing. I feel this season she's gonna correct that error.

Not through HBO GO

https://help.hbogo.com/hc/en-us/articles/205037458-Does-a-free-HBO-Preview-include-HBO-GO-

but I am pretty sure HBO Now has a free trial you can sign up for

HBO also almost always has trial promotions through your cable provider which would give you access to HBO Go

Ah alright, thanks for the help. Guess I'm watching it on the TV then.

hbo now is for people without cable
hbo go is for people with cable who subscribe to hbo through their cable provider

only difference. HBO is free this weekend for people with cable

So for this free HBO weekend trial, is that only for an online streaming service like HBO Now or Go, or is the free weekend trial on cable so you can watch it on TV too?

So, basically, if me and my family have cable like att but we do not normally have HBO because we are not subscribed (fortunately my suitemate has it so I can watch it on HBO Now/GO with him online via streaming) will the free hbo weekend trial be on TV and Cable too so one could watch it live on our TV via att or record it on the DVR so I can watch it again at a later time and date and save it, or is the free trial deal only for HBO Now/Go if you have cable to watch online via streaming but not on TV and DVR via cable?

Me and my suitemate will be watching it online tomorrow via streaming on his HBO Now/Go account, but I wanted my parents to be able to record it on the DVR for later if the channel will be free on Cable TV this weekend as well. Thanks for any and all help guys!

I am so excited, just a few more hours, the hype is real!

The free preview is for watching on TV without an HBO subscription (the bolded)

Here is the page specifically for ATT: https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/u-verse-tv/KM1009826

Sorry if this has been asked but I didn't see it in the OP.

Will the new episode be available right at 9pm est on HBO Go? I don't remember if there was an hour delay or something

It will be available just before it starts on HBO East, no delay.

the only shows with delays are listed here: https://help.hbogo.com/hc/en-us/art...ginal-programming-become-available-on-HBO-GO-

  • Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: 2 AM EST, Mondays
  • Real Time with Bill Maher: 7 AM EST, Saturdays
  • Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel: 5 PM EST, Wednesdays
  • 24/7: 5 PM EST, next day
  • World Championship Boxing and Boxing After Dark: Noon, Tuesdays
  • Hard Knocks: 5 PM EST, next day

The marathon on HBO 2 doesn't seem to have the Previously Ons for each episode. That's a shame. I especially liked those last season. I liked the music for them. So if you have Cox Cable, you should put it on the On Demand channel. They have all the episodes of GoT on those.

Because in Tywin own words "You (cersei) aren't as smart as you think you are"

Welp so apparently the new episode got leaked and there is a full spoiler article about it on Mirror, so stay away from Reddit if you want to go on blind (which everyone ofc wants I suppose)

Cant wait to see how Meli and Davos get a corpse, a wolf, and themselves out of Castle Black unscathed. Hopefully Edd and whoever else is loyal to Jon joins them, then every remaining member of The Watch can get rekt by The Night's King.

I'm really worried about Edd. I have a horrible feeling that Alliser and the other mutineers will go through Castle Black methodically killing all of Jon's allies (named and unnamed Brothers). Leaving only a few loyal men left to fight with Davos in the clip that's been released.

I really hope there is a change in Tommen's character or he just dies early. I couldn't stand his naive butt sitting on the iron throne. I get he was thrown into power young and untrained but it is clear he is meant for another world.

Man, if only Jon had listened to the infinite wisdom of The One True King and sent Throne away, or took his offer and became Jon Stark. But that's Stark-honor for you. Maybe some time in the void will give us the harder, darker, less fuck giving Jon Snow we deserve.

He better wake up and kill errbody.

Actually I'll just settle for the death of that little shit, Ollie.

I'm trying to remember what happened in last season

That lannister girl died on a boat next to her father

Sansa ran away? or did she not?

Jon Snow :(

Stannis died

fuck I need to watch a recap.

Seriously. Give me an hour long Neil Marshall directed episode just of Ghost killing Ollie, feasting on his carcass, and shitting him out over the course of 2-3 days.

Anya is blind now

Dany was kidnapped by that Dothraki army

Tyrion is ruling in her stead

Brienne is still searching for Sansa now that she ran away

Boltons are still being badasses in Winterfell

Bran is with the Three Eyed Raven, we'll see him again this season

Cersei is going to fight back against the Pope guy with Zombie Mountain

The Red Lady is in Castle Black with The Onion Knight

Now that I lay it out like that, this show has a crazy amount of storylines.

[edit]

I'm sure there's more stuff from season 5 that I'm not remembering and then there's the storylines that we haven't seen in awhile like Gendry or Theon's sister.

Anyone one knows when it will air on Sky Go (Germany)?

2am? 3am? later?

Jon is his father's son. Whilst he has developed to be more crafty (such as removing Janos, Alliser as First Ranger to win some loyalty (worse than moving him, but better than humiliating him through offering him an embarrassing position), utilising Stannis to get the Wildlings south, and working to compromise with Tormund and the other leaders rather than being reactive against the White Walkers), he still has room to go in terms kid how ruthless he could be, and he watched as all his close allies diminished in number over time. he would never as you say leave the Watch and take up the Stark name in that manner.

Now he's dead though, he is free to leave the Watch without recourse, either in the b eyes of the law, nor in terms of his honour.

I literally just finished the last episode of season 5 after starting the series the last week of March. My thoughts:

-I can't tell who I hate more, Cersei or the Sparrows. I'm leaning slightly more towards the Sparrows because it's a frightening look into probably what goes on in the heads of uber-religious people in real life. I'm still on the "fuck Cersei" train though, but I'm ready to see her and Tommen unleash hell on that cult.

-I loved the character development and gradual changes to Jamie's character. After hating him for the first two seasons, he's one of my favorites on the show along with Arya, Jon, Joren, Bronn, Davos, and Tyrion.

-Fuck Stannis. Wanted him dead from the moment I saw him. Wanted him even more dead after approving the sacrifice of his daughter. Thankfully, he died in the next episode.

-I wished Prince Oberyn were still on the show, but that was an excellent death scene. So far, his was the only death that really bothered me.

-I don't give a damn about Sansa or Theon/Reek. I just can't find much sympathy for either of them especially Theon, but I have a feeling both he and his sister are going to murder their father at some point this season.

-I finally saw what all the fuss was about with Joffrey. Reminded me of so many bullies back in school. I liked that he had such a suffering death scene.

-Even though I had been spoiled on it long ago, it made sense to finally understand what the Red Wedding was all about. I watched reactions of it on YouTube immediately after.

-I was not ready for that Dornish girl in the jail GAF. I was simply not ready. *wipes brow*

-Ramsey is what I pictured Joffrey like grown up, but maybe even more fucked up. When he or his father dies, it's going to be glorious.

-Are the other two dragons still alive?

-I have a feeling the Night's Watch is about to be 80% Wildling plus a giant under Jon and Davos.

I'm going to try to watch the premier tonight, but the issues I heard about last year with HBO Now concerns me.
