[Gamer Social Club] The Outer Worlds 2 & Ninja Gaiden 4 Will Now Come With Discs On Xbox

I mean they're probably still gonna require a download to some extent, but this is good news regardless for collectors.

But isnt Xbox series X new version only digital ? Dont get me wrong, this is great, but MS stoping doing digital only consoles would be greater.

They do have a sizable audience with the disc based SX, and you can still buy it (limited retailers as it may be).

Yeah i know, but this trend that Sony and MS are pursuing needs to end, every time they sell a digital only consoles we give one step close to digital only gaming.

Collecting what ? A frisbee with 37MB? It won't even be enough to render moon man.
Disk key is better than code in a box because you can at least sell it on and it's not bound to your account after activation.

Full game on disc/cart clears both though.

I pre-ordered TOW2 the moment I heard this, otherwise I would have skipped it entirely. I refuse to support a digital-only gaming future.

The backpedalings on this and the price of the games are great, but make you wonder if they have any kind of vision beyond just reacting to public's reaction

They kinda don't tbh.

Xbox management running on vibes is a criticism I've had of them for years now.

Finally. When Microsoft collapses and the internet in the USA is permanently dismantled, there's nothing stopping me from playing the unpatched version of Outer Worlds 2 (assuming the entire game file is 50GB or less). And people said it was a fool's errand to demand the industry that serves my hobby not go forward with a major cost cutting measure that could lower software prices across the board and keep thousands of kilos of plastic out of the landfills. Who's laughing now chumps?
