Games you remember, names you don't

Fox Hunt maybe.

Anyway, sorry for being incredibly vague but all I remember about this game is that it was on the SNES. Might have been a sort of darkish fantasy setting, and you play as like a knight or something and start in a castle or a church... pretty sure the background had big windows. Friend accidently gave it me instead of returning my copy of Mystic Quest Legend so I dunno if the title might have any similaritys.

That's it. 2:37 in the second video he even says the taco line. :lol Thanks a lot.

Okay, I need help remembering this one...

PC Game, late 1990s to early 2000s?
Free-to-download, multiplayer-only (over the internet) tank shooter
Gameplay like Battlezone
I think the tanks had names.. you could choose from a few. There may have been a paid version that unlocked more tanks and weapons...
You would join a server and it was basically deathmatch between 10 people or so.

I remember playing this game with some buddies in what had to be middle-school to early high school but I cannot remember the name of it AT ALL!

It was probably Kunio-Kun for Gameboy. Japanese/Asian version of Kunio-Kun was Double Dragon II for US gameboy. Sprite Hax!

To see the difference go here
Its the second entry to see the changed sprites.

No, it was un beat em up, but no depth, you just keep moving forward and beat guys.

Okay, this may be very vague my I'm really trying my best to recall the details here. I remember playing this game all the time at my grandparents house because it was the only thing I could get to work on 56k PC's. :lol

So it's this top down PC game that was an online multiplayer shooter for 56k similar to Smash TV in the view perspective and the art style was very similar to Starcraft. You could play as these space marine dudes who shot out these yellow orbs (I think) that kind of looked like tennis balls. Oh! It was also a free game for PC since it was so simplistic. I have fond memories of this game for some reason but can't remember much about it. It'd be neat to find it again and see if it's anything like I remember.

Summary: Free PC game mid to late 90's
Online Multiplayer top down shooter in the vein of Smash TV except against people
Looks like Starcraft.

Edit: Holy shit I think I found it. It's called Infantry, it just so happens to be made by the same dudes who made the game listed above. Thanks for the clue.

WOW! I can't believe the fact that my membership approved at last :) I was waiting for this for a loong time :)

I am trying to remember the name of a coin arcade racing game.
It has to be released between early to mid 90s but I am not sure.

The game was very similar to Great 1000 Miles Rally but it had much more realistic cars and environmet. And it also had recent models car(s) compared to Great 1000 Miles rally. Screen view was very similar to Great 1000 Miles Rally as well.

Some details that I could remember.

- there was rain in the game !
- whenever we enter a tunnel, it was almost impossible to see any other thing than the light cone of our car.
- the arcade machine had a driving wheel but it didn't had a seat.
- the game was HARD :)
- it had very beatiful, realistic but gloomy graphics. But I was not a 3d game graphics artist at that time, so I might be slightly mistaken.

I am pretty sure this game exists even I couldn't find any trace of it now... It just seems to dissapear from existance.

I will be relieved if anyone can help me to remember the name of that game.

I have also checked all of these games.

Blomby Car
Drift Out '94
Neo Drift Out
Great 1000 Miles Rally
Mille Miglia 2
Over Top
Thrash Rally
World Rally
World Rally 2

None of them is the game which I'm looking for.
Any idea ?

I've got one too. It was more of a tech demo than a real game though. It was a pc fps where you flew around in a spaceship sort of in a cave like structure. But the whole world was made out of small cube shaped voxels or something (like the old Delta Force games on the pc) & all you did was shooting the environments until they fell apart. I think it had some quite nice physics going because the performance wasn't top notch back in the day. Pretty sure the cubes had rainbow like colors, like light blue & pink.

Spite based MS-DOS fighter.

Ancient Asia setting, lots of generals and warriors with weapons, mostly swords and staffs.

Very colorful, street fighter-ish movesets.

"______ Fighter" I think.

As I was reading your post, it reminded me of that classic PC game Cannon Fodder. Ohhhh loved that terribly hard game!

But, damnit, now I have to install Infantry... :lol

Just wanted to ascertain a certain F2P MMO I dabbled in only last year, yet can't remember for the life of me what its name was...

It was a space game, you manually controlled a starship...reminded me of Nexus: The Jupiter Project aesthetically. You could warp at high speeds around a massive galaxy, the combat being something akin to Star Trek Online and Armada. It was a very dark-looking game...rather complex in its control overlays. Obviously not very well known, but...

...any ideas, folks? You could only control the ship on a flat axis, but you could rotate the camera in full 3D with a fairly impressive level of zoom. It was strategic, yet retained a bit of a techy-arcade feeling to the ridiculous speeds you encountered other vessels in. I remember fighting a few pirate vessels.

That any help?

There's a pretty obscure game, I'd like to find.
I _think_ it was released by Kixx games on a floppy. It was a 2d platformer about an bird, an emu or ostridge, i think. You were running through acient rome fighting legionaires in some way. There also may have been bombs. I've been googling this periodically for the longest time, but to no avail.

I used to play the shit out of Infantry until they went pay-to-play. Ahhh memories.

I will give an Internet BJ if someone can help me remember this PS1 game. The only thing I remember is that the first level involves you running through a building in a 2.5d type environment where there is a helicopter shooting at you through the windows in the background and you are running and jumping through the level, shooting shit. ;_; I NEED THIS....

If it is, I'll settle for a nice dinner.

Ok, this is REALLY vague.
But I remember either a NES or SNES game (though I'm almost positive it's a NES game) where you're playing as a ninja in red and black going through a castle or something killing enemies and you can go and buy items from this store. And there's a hint either in the game or the manual that says "Try spending a lot of money in the item store and see what happens!" when you do all you get is the cashier smiling and calling you "big spender"". It's been bugging me for a while now.

I'm looking for the name of a game i used to play when i was a kid. It was a DOS game, probably 10-13 years ago. Here's the synopsis:

You played a guy with a helmet on that looks a little like the head of an insect (2 antennas). It was a sort of educational puzzle/action game with puzzles of ancient egypt (and i think ancient china too). You were able to shoot lasers from your helmet (although i'm not sure on this one). I think the name of the game started with an S.

Doesn't really say much but i hope someone knows what i'm talking about for nostalgia sake :)

Super Solvers: Challenge Of The Ancient Empires?

I remember playing an arcade game in the mid 90's that was a side-scrolling brawler, with support of at least 2 players, maybe 4 and you were ninjas. I'm almost completely convinced it was based on those little plastic kid ninjas that were in gumball machines. The sprites were small like them, colorful, and It's certainly not Ninja Gaiden Arcade.

No one can ever remember my game.

- arcade game
- played a realistic looking dinosaur in a realistic world, no fantasy/sci-fi elements
- "beat-em-up"
- modern age graphics, was in a local arcade in 2004/5/6.

I remember watching a friend choose a T-rex/Allosaurus and the character was running along, fighting off raptors that stormed at him, then walked into a water area where he was fighting snapping crocodiles.

I swear I didn't make it up.

Wish I had more to go on.
Space Cowboy?

I have a memory regarding video games that isn't so much about "what game it was" but rather "what what was going on" in it.

It was an old Sega commercial with a sort of montage of all the games that made it really cool. In one segment of the commercial, there was a small clip of Sonic 2 (at least it looked like it) in the Emerald Hill Zone, and at the top of the screen, there was a character flying through the stage. He was flashing white/lime-green and had these sort of "balls" at the end of their head spikes, like a jester. At the time, I thought it was Super Sonic or something, but my cousin had argued that Super Sonic was yellow and not green. Til this day, I still haven't been able to find the commercial again nor identify who the character was.

Anybody have any ideas?

Nah, not Space Cowboy/Ace Online either. The combat takes place on a flat plane, despite the 3D camera panning. The distances between jump points, planets, etc., are massive. It's like a free version of EVE in a way...and it's not Taikodom, either.

i played some kinda hack n slash samurai themed game..sort of in the vein of genji but it was on 360..there was a demo on xbl but i totaly forgot what the game is called..

Ok, I have one.
It's an old Arcade game, graphics about SNES level, it was a side-scroller brawler, not so brawler if I remember correctly, similar to Vigilante. I remember the main character being similar to a Double Dragon character, the setting was kinda futuristic, I remember high buildings as background, and I think there was a something like a powerup, or somekind to artifact on the ground (to jump? or something...)

AHA! I just remembered! Darkspace!

Since people here are finding downloadable/mmo type games also... Some (not many probably) years ago I had found a pretty fun free to play mech deathmatch game. The mechs were bipedal Japanese style, not like Mech Warrior, and you could assemble yours with the weapons and parts you wanted, armored core style. There were melee weapons too I think, like Virtual On. The graphics were closer to Virtual On in style I guess, but it was fully 3D roaming deathmatch like an FPS. You earned points from online matches for more weapons and parts I think. I think I remember a desert level, I'm not sure, and definitelly a level that was just corridors upon corridors going in every direction, Descent style, so you just flew through it, though in the other levels the mechs could also run, not just fly. I think. Probably Korean (maybe not) like many other free to play MO/MMO games but actually good/fun.

I think that's it, thanks. I'm not entirely sure though, it seems worse than I remembered. And I don't see any videos of just flying maps. But that's probably it :D
