9) Rare reveals that Sea Of Thieves is not a free-to-play MMO. Confirms without a doubt that it is a shared world game that can be played with co-op but its story can also be enjoyed alone.
10) One last patch to finally fix all of MCC's issues
11) Alan Wake 2 announced
12) Alan Wake 1 remastered including all DLC and American Nightmare
13) D4 Season 2 announced
14) Rare announces Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 and Banjo Kazooie 3 are in early concept stages
15) Microsoft announces that they found a new developer for Phantom Dust and have revived the "not cancelled but not in active development" game
16) Microsoft announces XB1 will start to get more Japanese games. We will stop missing out on games like Guilty Gear, Persona 5, Tales of Xilia, etc...
17) Microsoft announces it has completely patched up relations and un-burned all bridges with Super Giant Games and Team Meat. Super Meat Boy, Bastion, Binding Of Isaac, and Transistor all announced for XB1
18) MS completely abolishes parity clause and issues public apology to indie devs
19) Phil Fish and Phil Spencer come on stage to announce revival of Fez 2

God, look at all these leaks, So legit!!!!:)

If anything a Sunset Overdrive 2 reveal would be aces.

It was unavoidable in the case of that game, but it seems MS have finally learned that putting new IP up against established yearly franchises is stupid as hell and people do actually buy games outside of the Oct,Nov,Dec period.

Sunset Overdrive played and looked amazing and reviewed very well. I hope they show faith in the things a sequel could bring to the table.

I'd love it to be out in Q1 2017

Definitely. Hopefully they'll throw some money at Insomniac and get the ball rolling.

Well IG is still putting out stuff like new outfits and stuff for the game so maybe that shows that MS is still up for a sequel.

I just hope Phil isn't impatient, and throws away a potentially good franchise over the wrong date placement of the game. He doesn't seem that type of boss so we'll see.

Agreed, I thought it was a brilliant game

I've heard Phil Spencer say "We're Microsoft, if we aren't thinking for the long term, there is something wrong with us," or something to that effect, in an interview. He seems like a man that doesn't mince his words.

Guys, any one hoping for a offline version of Crackdown is going to be disappointed I feel.

With it being the pioneer and first of it's kind for cloud computing, I honestly don't see it happening. They'll design gameplay elements around it, it'll be crucial to the game so it has to be.

I would die with joy. It'll likely disappoint like E3, I imagine they think Scalebound, Quantum Break, Crackdown and ReCore gameplay will be enough, and tbh I can't see anyone sniffing at that. Should be good.

I would be happy if all we saw was gameply from Crackdown and Scalebound. The rest is just nice.

I'm hoping for some surprises too, but I always get overhyped, hence E3 disappointed.

I just don't understand how people can be happy with just seeing gameplay for already announced games at conferences. New game announcements is the reason I watch them.

I'm guessing because 3/4 of those games are very fresh and we know v little about them. I do agree with you tho.

4, 8 and 16 are absolutely, insanely, in the "impossible dreams and hopes" category. Amazing.

I'd be happy with just the first three though and that's all I'm really expecting from MS this Gamescom. I'll be content with some good gameplay demos of those titles.

I just don't understand how people can be happy with just seeing gameplay for already announced games at conferences. New game announcements is the reason I watch them.

We've known about crackdown and a platinum title since January of last year. A cgi trailer to me is just proof that it exists, without seeing actual game0lay it's difficult to gain any excitement. Hopefully following games Com there Wil actually be something to be excited about.

Lols, I imagine that gaf would explode if HL3, P3, and L4D3 were all announced in one show as X1/Steam exclusives.

I think it's pretty easy to guess what Crackdown will be like going off the previous games and the announcement trailer. Scalebound is the only real unknown here.

Well, kinda. The game being based around cloud tech is really weird and we have no idea how that's going to manifest itself in gameplay. Sure we'll still probably be collecting agility orbs to be able to sprint and jump across the world but full building destruction will be a first for the series outside of the scripted events they had.

There will be new game announcement, I don't know if on the level of AAA. If I recall MS didn't announce any games on the level of Ori.

Lets take a guess

TP- New IP
PP- New IP
LionHead- Been working on a new IP for a year now
Decisive Games- Working on a MS RTS game
Rare- Maybe has another smaller game in the works

MS works with a lot with 3rd party developers, to make new franchises.. They been working a lot of people you have a established relationship with so you can make a couple guesses there.

I think it's pretty easy to guess what Crackdown will be like going off the previous games and the announcement trailer. Scalebound is the only real unknown here.

Do we though? It's a new engine allegedly involving cloud computation and possibly some truly next gen destruction. I'm as skeptical as the next guy about this cloud stuff, so I'm super interested to see how its all going to come together.

With scale bound we literally have zero idea what kind of game this is.

Yes, it's going to be an open-world game that you traverse using the character's speed and jumping abilities, while collecting orbs to boost your powers. You'll be taking out bad guys with the new thing being the destructive environments.

I hope Microsoft seize the opportunity and go for it while Sony have their ducks lined up for later in the year.

Of their currently known Gamescom games I'm only interested in Quantum Break. Hope it shows well and that the gameplay is a lot more interesting than the stuff we've seen before. That really put a dent in my hype.

I'd imagine they'll push Tomb Raider hard again.

Sony will mostly be announcing new games for the rest of the year. TGS, Paris and PSX will have a boat load of new announcements and partnerships. Microsoft hopefully have a few new ones of those. ReCore is a nice example of a good surprise, though I'm worried about the amount of full-production time that game is getting.

As I said, this was a super smart strategic move. Sony doesn't have a conference, and these other games might have been drowned out beneath the so-called "megaton" crush... now they can sing on their own, people can focus on them, and they can make Microsoft look like they're constantly unveiling a string of great titles.

I don't agree. Sony will be there showing off games and the press will report on that. There's just no conference.

And as someone pointed out, given it's so close to E3 it'll likely be the same stuff. Same goes for MS's E3 games.

Not really much to report going over the same stuff.

Yep. Outside of the newly announced/discussed things from Microsoft's conference, everything will probably be the E3 demos. All of the news out of Gamescom will come from Microsoft's conference.

I just don't understand how people can be happy with just seeing gameplay for already announced games at conferences. New game announcements is the reason I watch them.

I don't get why people even bother to play games because, by the time we play them, there is always something else on the horizon. I only get excited for new announcements!

I'd be damn if I brought more than one game in those months again. Last year almost every game I brought was on sale not even a month later. then again, unity was one of them and they had to give those away lol.

And as someone pointed out, given it's so close to E3 it'll likely be the same stuff. Same goes for MS's E3 games.

I agree, they will probably save any big announcements for PGS, and PSX.

While I at first thought they had blown their load at E3, I thought about it some more and realized that they still have GoW & GT to show. Not to mention QD's new game, and Sony Bend.... I would imagine we will see GT7 teaser at PGS, and GoW at PSX, with the other two possibly saved for E3
(They also have sucker punch's next game probably saved for next E3)

So lots to be excited about on that end, but we will have to be patient.

My predictions for Gamescom aka E3 Part 2:

In no order:

Quantum Break, ten minute demo showing off what different decisions can do the gameplay and also what playing as the bad guy is like.

Recore, 5 minute demo showing off map terraforming and a little of exploration and combat.

Scalebound, 15 minute demo which shows the combat combines monster hunter, devil may cry, and Dragon's Dogma. Has online co-op with enormous multi stage boss battles.

Crackdown, closes the show, shows off fully destructible engine tease much more story driven yet still open experience. Brings back the feel of the first game with a next-gen feel.

KI Season 3 introduced

Battletoads is reviving with Press Play doing the development

Another new IP announced from a 3rd party developer, MS owns the IP

Xbox One dash update available to all preview members now.

Xbox One elite controller has price reduced to $99 due to popular demand.

I don't get why people even bother to play games because, by the time we play them, there is always something else on the horizon. I only get excited for new announcements!

Lol indeed. Dont be excited to see the actual games. Companies can just start sending out .txt files for announcements at this point.
