Finally, the long-awaited sequel to the cult-classic iOS kart racer Garfield Kart has been announced.
We no longer have to settle for trash-tier cheaply-made unpolished kart racers like Mario Kart, Crash Team Racing, and Team Sonic Racing.

As you all know, the original Garfield Kart released in November of 2013 and became known as one of the greatest racing games of all time, having 89% positive reviews on Steam. It originally was exclusive to the iOS store, but performed so well that they made ports of Android, 3DS, and PC in order to sate the increasing demand for Garfield Kart on other platforms, undeterred by the libelous reviews from publications like Nintendo Life, who gave the game a score of 3/10. One fan even managed to have logged 21,000 hours of playing Garfield Kart on Steam. If only we could all be so pious.

Now, after having left all of us die-hard Garfield Kart fans in the dark for so long, Artefacts Studios has finally graced us with a new entry in the Garfield Kart series, which is being publiched by Microid games. The official announcement can be found on Twitter here.

Nov. 5 and Nov. 7 is when the game wil release in the U.S. and Europe, respectively. These release dates are emere days before Hidoe Kojima’s Death Stranding, which releases Nov. 8 worldwide. I was looking forward to Death Stranding, and I really wanted Kojima to succeed after his unceremonious parting with Konami, but alas his new inovative experience is doomed to fail from being overshadowed by the sheer mass of the Garfield franchise. Such is the cut-throat nature of the industry, I suppose.

You can pre-order the game on Amazon at this link for USD$29.99.

It amazes me what Jim Davis was able to do with his mediocre comic strip. So many entrepreneurial speakers filling hotel ballrooms when it's clearly Davis who has it all figured out.
