Gawker put up an article accusing Louis CK of sexual misconduct

every decent comedian does the same thing.
Not really, most comedians are amazed by his output. Aziz Ansari even went on record saying that Louie throwing out his old material and doing a new hour every year inspired him to try and do the same.

Wrong. Every modern comedian talks how they are amazed he throws away his routine. Every year. And that on top of the time it takes to make his show it is pretty impressive. Standup isn't as easy as people think.

And now of course gawker is talking shit about his SNL monologue. These 2 comments under the new article nails it on the head:

..because innuendo, faux outrage and attempted shaming of a public figure is sure-fire click bait for the opportunistic writer hacks at Gawker media.

Beats the hell out of wracking your brain to actually come up with content.

And

Here’s how to start a rumor:

1. Post a blind item about an unspecified comedian. People will speculate about who the comedian is.

2. Wait three years.

3. Post another rumor (that an anonymous dude claims he heard from a friend) about Louis C.K. Use the blind item from three years ago, and the comments below the blind item, to corroborate this rumor.

4. Repeat this rumor as often as possible. Ask questions like: “Is Louis C.K.’s monologue uncomfortable in light of his alleged sexual misconduct?” Post links to your comedian friend’s YouTube videos and do not hesitate to point out that, unlike certain ginger divorced comedians who have two daughters, your friend never allegedly misconducted himself, sexually. Etc. Etc.

5. After enough repetition, people will forget that the evidence was flimsy (at best) in the first place, forget that the rumors they heard were from the same people over and over and can all be traced back to the same (flimsy at best) evidence, and start talking about how Louis C. K.’s sexual misconduct is an “open secret” that “everybody knows about.”

I’m not saying Louis C.K. is too funny to have possibly sexually harassed or assaulted anyone. I’m just saying I have no more reason to believe Louis C.K. harassed/assaulted anyone than I did before I heard these rumors, because there’s nothing to these rumors. Find me anyone of Louis C.K.’s stature and you will be able to find a handful of anonymous people on the internet claiming that person did unsavory things.

Yup, very few comedians come up with annual specials not to mention his TV show.

As for the allegations if Gawker wants to do proper investigating then why not interview the podcast about the comic masturbator?

Doug Stanhope is a shock comic, I think this FB post is a joke.

Ehhh... when I heard CK did this, I was like, "That doesn't sound right." But if someone told me Stanhope whipped his dick out? I'm like, "Oh, yeah, well obviously. It's Doug Stanhope."

He'd probably whip it out and then shame them for not leaving the room while he did it. And it'd be hilarious. And it might not even be women he did it too, either. I mean, I could see Stanhope whipping his dick out in front of clergy if he was drunk enough.

Dunno if this is worth mentioning or not, but apparently the podcast where Jen Kirkman had originally made allegations that made it sound a lot like Louie CK was recently taken down. Could be nothing, but it kind of makes it sound like people are cleaning up behind the scenes.

It would be oddly poetic and ultimately pretty sad if these comments about Louie are true. He wants to be Woody Allen so bad given the recent seasons of his show, so it's ironic that, like Woody Allen, he would have some really sexually-deviant allegations lodged against him.

Well Jen Kirkman said that the podcast WASN'T about Louis so she's probably taken it down because she's tired of being thrust into some scandal she's not even a part of.

Ah, I hadn't heard about that. If that's the case that makes sense. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a Gawker outlet would post something in support of another Gawker outlet.

EDIT: Seems the person above you already said what I wanted to say.
