It's revolting how people make extremely weak moral relativism claims. But let's not be surprised, firstly, because of how uninformed and uneducated the average person is on morality and ethics. Secondly, these posts are, more likely than not, masked agreements of the expression of ideologies and not a motion to address human rights challenges. The distinguishing factor is not that these people are agreement in outward physical violence but that they place the onus on the individual for own safety and zero responsibility on FIFA.
"
Bro what do you expect? You should be street smart to enter another country where you could be raped, robbed or persecuted for your beliefs."
It is a guarantee that fans from most nations will travel the world, visiting the hosting country. It is not a guarantee that the hosting country has adopted a culture, moral system or ideology that will accommodate the safety of attendees of all backgrounds. It is a guarantee that FIFA has the ability to reduce the number of eligible hosting countries who do not meet the criteria to host the event in peace. In essence this goes against what
FIFA stands for and similar to banning player and team behaviors, countries should also be denied the right to host the event. Russia and Qatar should not be able to host the world cup. They have clear cultural and adopted ideologies that go against FIFA sanctions. Unfortunately, the love of money rules everything football and your moral relativism claims do not apply to the FIFA policies and sanctions in place.
