Interesting pick-up I saw in the main thread
Wow. I had no idea that GBA/DVD player even existed.
All handhelds prior to the 3DS are region freeJust got FFVI Advance in the mail the other day (my fourth GBA cart overall) and I think I'm ready to take the plunge and buy a Micro. One thing I'm not clear on though: are GBA Micro systems region locked? Can I buy a Japanese system and still play my US carts?

Just finished Wind Waker (the first LoZ game that I bothered going pass the title screen) and it looks like Minish Cap for the GBA will be my next LoZ game because it just looks so damn interesting.
Should I also try out four swords?
Ordered WarioWare Twisted the other day, cart only.
The original GBA game has become one of my all time favorite handheld games as I have been playing it for the last few months. So I'm pretty hyped.
No, the DSi is also region-locked. DSi-only, DSi-enhanced, and DSiWare games are all region locked, though original DS games that do not have DSi enhancements will play on any DSi or 3DS. The TurboExpress and Sega Nomad are region-locked as well, of course. All handhelds prior to the 3DS are region free

And while no handheld that isn't a handheldized console released before the DSi has region locking, plenty of them do have regions, just not locking. That is, systems like the Game Gear have a region in each system, so that games with multiple region versions in the cart can display the English version on a Western system and the Japanese version in a Japanese system. The PSP is similar; it's region-locked for movies, I believe, but not games.?

PSN is also region locked. Even worse, it's sometimes country-locked. Especially shitty if your retail games is from a different region/country [the latter depends on if there's a different version] than your account if you want DLC. Not sure how XBLM works in that regard.

That is sweet, a small portable dvd player with a GBA player in it? I want one!
EZ-Flash IVs seem to be being manufactured again! They're a little more expensive but not too ridiculous. I'm thinking of picking up a couple more for future safekeeping.
Oh yes I was.Twisted is great, a ton of content, super polished, and the controls feel very organic. You're in for a treat.
Those Visteon GBAs don't seem to be very expensive. About fifty bucks on ebay.

That's... a book about it?
The difficult part is acquiring the memory card cheaply.
For the ezflash 4?
This is all you need:

Oh, PSN on the PSP, yes... can you just make accounts for other regions though, to get around it, or not?
From what I read when I originally purchased the EVIV, using adapters doesn't always work optimally, or at all for that matter.
Your mileage may very of course, but I ran into that line of thinking multiple times.

This one certainly isn't a book and ended for $72. Probably cheap due to obscurity?

I've been looking up retro games for years on ebay and I just now created myself an account. Its time I start collecting. Looking through Gameboy CIB titles and ran across one I thought I'd share here. eBay
I think this should be on the OP:
