My key that was revoked is not working still. Says it was already redeemed.
You mean you used it before, game got revoked and now you can't redeem it again? Yeah that won't work. Only nvidia codes that weren't redeemed to begin with seem to work.
Ah. Tricky.
They probably could only banned the ones redeemed, not generated.
Well, they had already put the Amazon codes in a blacklist so they couldn't be redeemed, so i'm not entirely sure why they would lift that blacklist unless The Coalition wasn't being entirely truthful with their statement of knowing which codes were from the glitch and it started affecting legit costumers too. Just speculation on my part though.Ah. Tricky.

Oh, I misread that non-redeemed codes that were revoked were now valid again
They are.
Like I said, hook a brotha up.
Well fuck me lol
No.
They downright work again. They're valid without presenting any proof of purchase, they just work. They might very well get revoked from MS accounts sometime after they get redeemed I guess(unless MS/Coalition changed their mind. Though that would be odd because people who redeemed it before and got revoked are seemingly fucked)
Wouldn't suggest using a code that could be banned at any time.
Who knows. Maybe it is a long game to dissuade people from the secondhand market.
If you know there are banned keys out there and that some sellers can't resist a fast buck, a second ban wave would convince people it's not worth buying any Gears code as you would have no way of knowing if your seller was legit or was a scammer trying to sell a reactivated code as a legit one.
Poisoning the well, so to speak.

After a shitshow of a customer support, I finally got a second key for the GPU I bought... although not from Amazon. I had to return the card and get it in another online store.
Now, what should I do to activate it if I had a key (unfairly) revoked in my account? Do I need to cancel something first?
Tell them you bought a card and the accompanying code isn't working then provide them with this info:
0. The purchase date.
1. The place of purchase (Name of the retailer) of the graphics card.
2. Picture of the original game code ( that 24 digit code you got with the purchase )
3. Picture of your purchase receipt/bill ( of the graphics card) or the screen-shot of the purchase email.
4. Copy-Paste that "24-digit game code" and the "Order Number" of the purchase ( just to avoid typo)
5. Your email ID used to redeem the game code.
6. Picture of the serial number (s/n) of the graphics card ( from the Box or the card itself )
I thought that buying and selling codes on Ebay was prohibitedEBay seller still hasn't responded and today is the day she had til. Hopefully eBay has my back.
It is.I thought that buying and selling codes on Ebay was prohibited
EBay seller still hasn't responded and today is the day she had til. Hopefully eBay has my back.
Ill have to wait til I get home from work. So ill come back here in about 4 hours.Let us know how it went. I have to wait until tomorrow to put in my "yeah this dude is not going to pay shit".
Reactivated?
edit:
Not working the same code on the same account. I used a new code in my 2nd account. Redeemed, downloaded.\o/
Edit: and its back in my account!
Why would it do that when eBay refunded it? Its Still there 6 hours later.I keep having this happen before it fixes itself back to being gone. So don't get excited.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but my copy of Gears 4 was voided a few days ago and it still shows up as 'live' sometimes when I load up the Windows store. It's something weird with their servers. Why would it do that when eBay refunded it? Its Still there 6 hours later.
Nah I'm saying eBay refunded me the money I spent on my useless code.Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but my copy of Gears 4 was voided a few days ago and it still shows up as 'live' sometimes when I load up the Windows store. It's something weird with their servers.

Just got off the phone with eBay. They issued me a refund that I should have by the end of the day! Yipee!
Edit: and its back in my account!
the code I gave was not illegitimate, these codes still work today. The game being revoked is not on my end, as I only sold the digital code. I cannot revoke the game from you. Also, the game shows as redeemed. (attached) proof of game being legitimate
Paypal and ebay nearly always side with the buyer in my experience with some actual evidence, one of the reasons I stopped selling stuff there.Ugh my seller on Ebay is fighting back.
And then he posts two gifs of his browser saying "code has already been redeemed" on the nvidia site and also somehow the next screen after that showing the code is for Gears 4, with presumably another code he used. Now we all now this is irrelevant since the revoking was done days after all these steps in the Windows 10 store.
Now I have to wait for Ebay to step in apparently and I haven't been given a chance to respond. I really hope they end up siding with me in the end but I'm actually kinda scared they won't if the person evaluating the case is fooled by the seller's excuses.
It's given me a big hassle and now I don't feel like playing Gears 4 at all anymore!

You should add to your claim that you didn't know that it was against the rules for users to sell digital codes so why was this scammer allowed to sell digital codes on their website. Post a screenshot of one of the news article or Nvidia site talking about the breach of stolen codes. Post a screenshot of what it says when you try to redeem the code.Ugh my seller on Ebay is fighting back.

That's 1 of the things I said when I called for my refund. I told the guy to look at the feedback. He did and immediately issued the refund. He didn't receive negative feedback from other buyers for the same item? I think you can use that as a proof that the seller sells fraudulent codes.

Is it safe to buy codes on eBay yet?
Is it safe to buy codes on eBay yet?
To be honest I'd wait until the Gears 4 1TB Xbox One 1 S bundle comes out (11th)
I imagine lots of codes that aren't tied to the Nvidia promotion will be hitting eBay then, I'll be getting one of those.
Don't bother. The second "legit" code I bought (only a couple of days ago for $45 once again) from a fellow gaffer was revoked a little while ago. At this point I wouldn't trust any Windows Store codes that originate from Nvidia promos as they can, and probably will eventually revoke your license.
Did it happened after they reactivated the Nvidia codes ?
