The only thing we actually know for sure is that is a new IP; it's the only thing they've actually confirmed about it. It's definitely not starcraft or diablo based.

God, I cannot believe how many people got brain damaged because of TBC and WotLK. Alt runs in Vanilla? For who? 1-2 guilds per server? Vanilla was a massive grind, massive mats farm, bosses were dying not to skill but due to player farming the hell out of thrash pulls in MC and crafted items (which took 1-2 months of grinding alone). It was worse than an Asian MMO. To make damn flasks you were farming herbs for 3 hours a day.

No one was "geared" in MC? Do you even remember how much effort it took do get Dungeon Set 1? That UBRS, LBRS, BRD, Strat took 4-5 fucking HOURS each?


I quit WoW and I truly hope that for one time only Blizz puts back a raid on par with Vanilla so that Ensidia, and other top guilds can go back to whinning to tune it down. Then the rest of "hardcore" will come whinning to nerf content as well.

During the lull between completion of BWL and waiting for AQ my guild did alt runs. That is why I was able to switch from rogue to warrior from BWL to AQ (much to my guild's disdain since I had Bloodfang 8/8 and that Onyxia 2% sword ^^.) For the most part my guild didn't farm for mats. We'd buy a ton from the AH based on funds from crafting materials from MC. Even then up until Naxx we didn't flask the raid outside of our lead tank since most raid encounters were 1tank encounters.

Also what universe did you live in that UBRS/LBRS/BRD and Strat took 4-5 hours? Back when I was farming that shit we'd slam 30+ people into those places and complete them in like 20 minutes; maybe 40 for UBRS. I guess that maybe once they switched them to 5 (10?) they took that long but I never went back to them for the most part outside of pre-raid gearing my warrior. Even then it would be my crappy warrior and 4 people in full BWL stuff.
