I’m about halfway through Elden Ring DLC, 100% via remote play. Latency isn’t an issue at all.
It's impossible to have lower latency than native games. It already has for consoles. Not PC.
On the same hardware. But a game running on a PC at 120 FPS with something like reflex and streaming to a console can have overall lower latency than the same game running natively on the console at say 30 FPS.It's impossible to have lower latency than native games.
Why not just download and play natively?I’m about halfway through Elden Ring DLC, 100% via remote play. Latency isn’t an issue at all.
That'd be great. My steam library is huge, being able to play all this stuff (as long as it's on Xbox, too) on the console as well would be very welcome over here.I think it is the case of them maybe experimenting with single store where you can launch games you are eligible to from the services that you have access. Like if you bought the game on Steam and has GFN subscription, you can play it from online Xbox store.
Because I’m happy with the idea of never needing to buy a box or have something connected to my tv. I haven’t bought a movie in maybe 20 years. Streaming rentals and having subscriptions are all I need and want. Why not just download and play natively?
YOU ARE DESTROYING GAMING. and moviesBecause I’m happy with the idea of never needing to buy a box or have something connected to my tv. I haven’t bought a movie in maybe 20 years. Streaming rentals and having subscriptions are all I need and want.
And everyone should conform to my wants and needs.
Hi
YOU ARE DESTROYING GAMING. and movies
So you don't have a console or PC? Seems unlikely.Because I’m happy with the idea of never needing to buy a box or have something connected to my tv. I haven’t bought a movie in maybe 20 years. Streaming rentals and having subscriptions are all I need and want.

I have them now. I hope we reach a point one day where I won’t need to buy a console. Just controllers to connect to my tv, phone or headset. So you don't have a console or PC? Seems unlikely.
So... Why not download and play natively? What benefits does streaming offer you?I have them now. I hope we reach a point one day where I won’t need to buy a console. Just controllers to connect to my tv, phone or headset.
Like I said, in the future, not needing to buy an Xbox, pc, PlayStation or Nintendo.So... Why not download and play natively? What benefits does streaming offer you?

I wasn’t in my home when I did remote play. I’ve only played it while at work. I said it in a different post. And I’ve only been playing over cell service as well.Leaving specifics out.
"100% Remote play, streamed from my pc to my phone. in my home guys!, via wifi!, no latency issues at all!"
Kicking and screaming, but my casual brethren and I will shape the industry in the right direction of streaming only one day.Run with that ball FoxMcCief. The rest will come along.
Really Sf6?
I dunno about that and the games I play on consoles aren't 30fps.On the same hardware. But a game running on a PC at 120 FPS with something like reflex and streaming to a console can have overall lower latency than the same game running natively on the console at say 30 FPS.

To play quality games in years pasts you were forced to play even less than 30 fps even on PC (Crysis says hello)This is funny because of your username. Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne were both only available in 30fps on console at first. Bloodborne still in framey 30fps to this day. But I get you.
i dunno who it helps being able to play it thereSo I can play Helldivers 2 on Xbox?
Do you understand how GeForce Now works? And more to the point have you tried it? I am a subscriber of Geforce Now Ultimate and the experience is very impressive. I do not notice any latency whilst playing Forza Horizon 5 on it.Sorry but how can I play my steam games on Xbox exactly ?
steaming from Steam through Nvidia stream ? how many minutes of latency going to have here ?
image quality be like
Hmmm having had a rethink there isn't any indication of a GeForce Now app only links from the MS store.
If there was an app for Xbox I'd presume you can play all the games that any GFN subscriber has access to. But if it's only through MS' store I'm not so sure.
I hope it wasn’t plugged in.I hope this is true, I just threw my PC in the pool.
I know Geforce Now is better, I've used it before but why bring a service that's better than Xcloud to Xbox? Aren't they cannibalizing their own service?I use both, Geforce Now is significantly better than xCloud so that's probably why.
They have a I think ten year partnership to bring Xbox games to GeForce Now, so I am assuming this is part of that so PC games on Xbox? Sounds cool to me.I know Geforce Now is better, I've used it before but why bring a service that's better than Xcloud to Xbox? Aren't they cannibalizing their own service?
Where is the fine print, because there is no way this is actually the case. It isn’t how physics works. Light travels at a set speed through fiber or copper wires, and if your going potentially hundreds or thousands of miles vs 5 feet there is no way streaming remotely is faster.

Preach! You won't own anything and still be happy is gonna be so true in a few years for most people at least.
GF now supports Epic, Steam, Microsoft and several other stores - anywhere you own the supported games, you can play them. It's not tied to any NVidia platform.so if you are one of the few people that bought the game on Nvidia platform, you can play it remotely on xbox ?
I mean when you put it like that - but really it's completely arbitrary. Whether you own the game on Steam or Epic of MS Store - it's going to be the PC version so significantly different experience. Also the filter of supported games is almost as narrow as Game Pass, so it's not like you actually play 'steam' there in any real sense.Wait.....so Geforce Now subscribers can play Steam games on Xbox?

Physics works this way: PC lag sucks a little, GFN lag can suck a little too and console lag sucks a lot. So PC lag + streaming lag < console lag.Where is the fine print, because there is no way this is actually the case. It isn’t how physics works. I’m assuming this is native Xbox streaming to another TV in your house, that is being presented as if it is actually native Xbox as in you playing it hooked to a tv.
Even then I call BS unless your are really close to the nvidia server and your home network sucks.
I don't know if anything's changed, but many publishers had their games blocked on the service when I last tried it like a year ago.I see people saying we will be able to stream Steam games, but how so? And if true, I wonder what that would mean for some of Sony's games on Steam. Something tells me Sony will have that blocked, unfortunately.
