Finally upped our TV game and purchased an LG C1 65 inch. Arriving on Friday.

What are you tips for setup and calibration? How shit is the sound without a soundbar? How fucked am I really by sunlight in the room?

Good choice of TV, but go for a 5.2.1 Atmos setup. Match the picture quality with audio quality.

Also buy some blackout curtains.

AV forums will be your friend for recommended calibration settings, or look for "HDTVTest" on Youtube and see what Vincent posts.

HDTV test has a few videos which relate to the LGCX and the PS5 to there may be more than one for the C1.
I forget which setting it was for HDR, but I did use a non-traditional setting and it made HDR better.

How shit is the default sound? I'm guessing absolute shit.
I had to replace my old receiver system because it was super, duper hating life with eARC/PS5/Shield and went with this:

Was pleasantly surprised with it!
Been waiting for full featured HDMI 2.1 receivers but have been too busy lately to care if they're even out. I'll circle back to this in the fall.
