The 7 dvds only covers the first season (26 episodes). All of SAC including 2nd gig comes to to a total of 52 episodes. (again 2nd gig is 26)

The first season (26 episodes) comprises the first seven volumes.

The second season, GiTS: SAC 2nd GIG, will be another seven volumes and starts it's release in September.

Thanks guys. I've been all over the net and I couldn't get a solid answer on the second season. Is Adult swim going to air it? I thought the first movie was simply ok, and the second one was really great looking, but I didn't love it. The show, however, is really interesting and far better than both movies imho.

The first volume of 2nd GIG comes out September 20th, it will also be shown on Adult Swim, but I couldn’t tell you when as I’m not watching it on CN (should start the same time as the last run of FMA begins).

Production I.G. is also working on a compilation movie of the Laughing Man story arc from the first season with a good chunk of new animation and dialogue.

One of the best anime OSTs ever.

Save your tears
For the day
When our pain is far behind
On your feet
Come with me
We are soldiers stand or die

Save your fears
Take your place
Save them for the judgment day
Fast and free
Follow me
Time to make the sacrifice
We rise or fall

For those who aren't keeping track of things...The limited edition of 2nd GIG DVD1 comes with Stand Alone Complex OST2.

OST3 comes out in Japan July 22, and I imagine may make it as a pack-in later on during the 2nd GIG DVD releases over here.

I just finished episode 23. This is my favorite anime of all time now.

Its definitely good stuff. I'm a huge anime fan, but this one was kinda slow for me. I didn't get into it right away, but soon enough I was hooked on this show.... as was my wife. She also loves to watch Inuyasha, but is annoyed with the many Cartoon network restarts of the show.
